After Twilight finishes her research on a new spell, she finds herself presenting it in person to her longtime mentor. The meeting between the two brings back old memories, new questions, and familiar feelings.

Are social norms more important than one's feelings? Is a love that is considered 'wrong' worth seeing through?

Update 12/29/12: Okay, so I'll be going on hiatus until I get a better idea of how this will be going. When I come back, I'll be beginning by revising the first few chapters for flow and character bingbangbozzles. So, until then, happy reading!

Fluttershy has been in a depressive state and hasn't been seen for the past few days. When a tramatic event occurs it will take all the friendship and comfort Twilight and her friends can muster to save Fluttershy from becoming an empty shell, or worse....

So what happens when an especially low-ranking changeling is found and taken in by an altogether less desirable character?

A Cutie Mark is meant to represent the personality and special talent of each pony that has one. Cheerilee's flowers symbolize her desire to help her students bloom, and the smiles represent the cheer that she hopes to bring to their lives.

At least...that's what she tells everypony who asks.

After receiving a fashion line deal from FancyPants himself, Rarity must consult the one pony whom she connects the least with for fashion advice. As she sees her friend more often, she learns more and more about her and learns that not only Friendship is Magic.
