This is the first of the Moonlight's Redemption series, written by Hope.

Set 1000 years before the show, Princess Luna tells the story of Prim Rose, a young unicorn from a farming community near the coast. To escape from the pain of recently losing her sister, and to try finding some direction in her life, Prim travels all the way to Everfree City and the castle of the Two Sisters, looking for a job. She ends up meaning more to Princess Luna than she could have ever guessed.

This story was written half as MLP fanfiction, and half a love-letter-like story that I wrote for my wife, to bring her some comfort on lonely days.
This story was in part inspired by a story I deleted called Redemption in Moonlight.

Twilight Sparkle has always been frustrated with Discord. His ability to do anything, with no more effort than a snap of his claw. It shouldn't be possible. His power had to come from somewhere.
Then, one day, Twilight lets slip how she feels. Surprisingly Discord agrees to explain it to her. To give her the secret to all of his powers. If she's willing to pay the price that knowing it all will bring.

"Hey, uh, Rick, what did you want me to, uh, write down here again?"

"Look, Morty, it's not that urp complicated, just, just write down a generic description of what we did."

"But Rick, we did a lot of things!"

"Then figurp it out, Morty. Christ, and here I thought you were getting at least a bit smarter. Just, write down something about, uh, 'Rick and Morty Get Stuff From Horse Land'. 'Morty and Rick and something something horse pun'. I dunno, something."

"I want to go back to the ponies..."

"Oh, I bet you would like that, huh, MMMorty? Go back to the girly dimension full of urp friendship and magic and all that. Look, just give it here, I'll, uh, just put it up as it is."

Celestia had a vision, of two beings, one of darkness, one of light. They claimed that they would reclaim Equestria and return it to dust. The next day, a small creature appears, frightened, scared, and afraid of her very touch. A child. A child who may herald the end, or save Equestia from its demise.

Isaac has been in the basement as long as he can remember. So many times has he descended through this purgatory of death and murder, god and demons, so many things that hurt, burned and killed.
Then one day it stopped. A secret room that opened the chest he had known so long, and he was free. He could leave the Basement.
He didn't see anything else that followed him out.
He didn't expect the world to have changed so much in his absence.
And he never could've imagined they'd all be ponies.

And ponies never imagined that simple children could ever save them from the forces of evil.

Note from Dr. R█████: "Hell, I know we get up to a lot of dirty business down here, but... Christ, this one takes the cake. Course, no one knew just what this would turn into, least of all ██████, the poor bastard. Whether you were assigned to read over this god-forsaken experiment, or if you just wanted to see what all the fuss was about, let me clear something up right now: SCP-7663 didn't deserve a [EXPLETIVE DELETED] thing we did to her. We didn't know that then, of course, but, well, hindsight's 20/20, right?"

Sometimes, reality gets boring. Sometimes, those in charge of said realities get together and kill time by talking about their own personal universes.

Sometimes, odd situations are made regarding said universes.

And that's why, one day, four different villainous beings from various universes, along with a local villain, are brought together under one roof in the town of Ponyville, all watched over by the resident princess.

So, let's sit and watch what happens, shall we?

Evenings in Ponyville were usually pretty uneventful. Ponies would be going home, stores would be closing down, and, for today, the local fair would be winding to a close.
So imagine their surprise when a few random buildings in town are blocked with metal doors all of a sudden. And then a group of six strange creatures suddenly show up in the middle of town. But that's nothing compared to the things that attack the creatures right after their arrival...

Something I wanted to get out of the way for a while. Heavily inspired by this story, which you should read instead of this mess of words thrown at a word processor.

Drifters come and drifters go, leaving the town of Appleloosa as nameless and unnoticed as if they had never been there in the first place. What happens, however, when a drifter isn't an everyday sight, especially when taking into account his peculiar appearance? A world of distrust and violence opens up to not only him, but to a cast of others, all affected directly or indirectly by the chaos in their own way.

When the blinding smoke of skepticism finally fades, will there be anyone left untouched by it?

Rated teen for adult themes, language, and violence.

It had been nearly a year since you won that labor lottery. This job had quickly turned into the best thing that has ever happened to you and your family. From the Grestin checkpoint, you had seen it all; terrorist attacks, long-seperated lovers getting back together, people trying to smuggle drugs into the country...
None of that compares to the day a portal opens to an alternate dimension just outside the walls.
Which is bad, because inevitably that means more papers for you to check and double check.
