Celestia called Twilight to the palace, to help her sister Luna who is lonely... Well that's what she wanted her to think.

There once was a pony who could forge magic, not magic items but but Magic Cores. This is the story of the Magic Smith and what became of her legacy.

This was simply an idea that popped into my head and I had fun writing it, it was originally inspired by the comic Heart Smith and if you haven't seen it I would highly recommend reading it. I hope you enjoy.

*Note about this stories update schedule
This story is a sort of pet project I work on when I have time and the inspiration hits. Because of this updates to the story are very irregular and range from taking a few days to a long time but that also means that this story will be the only story on my page to always have the status of Incomplete. I write this story either fun and to relax my mind or to knock the dust off my writing skills when I've been gone a while so the quality of the story and the writing varies from chapter to chapter. It is also not properly edited because it is typed on this site in the moment and posted once I feel done with a chapter.

With no other ideas, and unwilling to steal Seaquestria's Orb, Twilight Sparkle is left to wonder what could have been and where it all went wrong.

But when Queen Novo returns, seemingly having changed her mind, and offers to give the Orb to Twilight and her friends, her hope is born anew. What happens next nopony saw coming.

The Last Equestrian Princess, and the Queen of the Seaponies. United in a way never seen before, and nothing will stand in their way. Not an army, not the Storm King. And certainly not a broken horn unicorn.

Twilight Sparkle was banished from Equestria a long time ago for a crime she didn't commit. The rest of the Mane 6 have been searching for her to tell her that she can return. When they do find Twilight, they realize that the trials of surviving outside Equestria have changed their old friend. Not all the changes are necessarily good.

As they return to Equestria, they must figure out who is opposing them. Shadows lurk in every corner, enemies watching for a single misstep. Not to mention, Twilight's shadows are creeping up on her. But even if they do manage to face the trials and troubles, do they have what it takes to face what awaits them back home?

Changelings and ponies had always been natural enemies of each other, especially with the crystal ponies when they were around. Why wouldn't they be? Changelings were like parasites, feeding off the love that ponies gave off and driving them to illness.

However, Changelings had begun to decline. What started out with as seven hives have diminished down into three, all of which had gone into hiding so well that most ponies didn't know what changelings even were. Even Celestia had not seen one for quite a while, a long feat for an immortal pony.

Until she found a nymph. A new Changeling Queen.

Unable to find it within herself to abandon the changeling, Celestia ends up taking the nymph back to Canterlot under guise as Twilight Sparkle. The plan was simple; find the hive that Twilight belonged to and return her back to be raised with her race.

Of course, despite everything she learned through her long life, she had forgotten that things were never that simple.

For starters, she did not anticipate herself to grow fond of Twilight as time began to pass, or to beam in happiness when Twilight began to refer to her as mom.

After being trapped in the past by a botched spell. Twilight was almost free to go home before a tragedy struck. Now staying in the past with her two new daughters and a kingdom under her, Twilight Sparkle, the Eternal Queen, shares her time with her foals before her return to the present.

In the present, a pony finds a certain journal left behind from those Forty Long Years, a pony who wishes nothing but revenge upon the Eternal Queen. A pony who hopefully, after seeing all the trials and tribulations of the Queen, will learn that forgiveness is the answer to her troubles. Or at the very least, learn the name of the Queen to enact revenge upon her immortal being.

Finally, through all the wars, chaos, and a crazy spirit (Surprisingly enough, not Discord), Twilight Sparkle has returned to the present. Now, the tired Queen simply wishes to rest and enjoy her retirement. Unfortunately for her, the story doesn't simply stop because the hero is tired as a new villain now shows her hoof. Twilight now has to balance teaching not one but two students and still keep her secret safe from her friends! All while dealing with a healthy dose of PTSD on top of it.

However, not everyone is so welcoming. Twilight and Luna's relationship is tested time and time again as disaster after disaster stricks Equestria.
