Every rising star must eventually fall. Rainbow Dash is locked in a struggle against her own past, and with the help of Twilight is about to make a discovery that will change the way she flies forever. But what will she lose in the process?

Twilight can't control her feelings for Rainbow Dash, and doesn't go according to plan in the whole Mare-Do-Well Scheme.

This will be a series of romantic drabbles based around one concept: take a pairing, apply rule 63 to one of the ponies involved, and see what happens. Characters updated as story goes along.

By the way, Rule 63 of the internet is as follows: For every given male character, there exists a female version of that character and vice versa.

Losing the defining thing that makes you who you are would be hard for anypony. Where do you go from there? How do you cope? How do your friends? How hard is it to start from scratch? Rainbow Dash never had to worry about these things. Not until the worst storm in Equestrian history. Now she has to cling to that which she still has, and discover for herself that there is much more out there to live for than she originally believed.
