Almost a week has passed since all three pony tribes were reunited and the magic returned, and Sunny Starscout's mind is consumed by a question: what happened? The question in itself is simple, but the answer isn't so. And after discovering a hidden page in her dad's journal, Sunny finds a clue that begins a long train of investigating that takes her and her friends across Equestria and beyond, to find out what happened all those years ago, to finally find the answers Sunny's been wanting about the Fall of Equestria.

Fluttershy's always felt more than a little different from the other foals her age, but it wasn't until recently that she came to terms with one of the reasons why that might be. Her best friend, Jet Stream, has always supported her, despite how different they are...but he's been acting a little weird lately. Fluttershy wants to believe it doesn't have anything to do with her, but she's the only thing that's changed recently. Is she going to have to choose between her true self and her only friend, or is there something else entirely going on?

Each has drifted in their own way; life has called them somewhere else.

Twilight Sparkle struggles to bring them back together: to make those giddy times return.

You have to learn how to say goodbye in life. Goodbye to friends and farewell to family.

But, sometimes, there's the odd few that will always be with you.

Applejack has gone through a lot in her life. She's lost family, been a primary caregiver, even had a few massive shifts in her identity... And she's still standing. She's still here.

But is that enough?

A few months ago, Cherrilee's life changed for the better when she met a beautiful, funny, and intelligent mare in a Canterlot bar.

But that all changed when the Changelings attacked. Cherilee heard nothing from her marefriend for almost a whole week before she unexpectedly turned up on her doorstep, covered in bruises. While concerned, Cheerilee couldn't help but wonder, where did her bruises come from? Where had she been this last week? Eventually, Cheerilee couldn't help but consider...

New York City's a good place for a pony to start over. There are plenty of opportunities available, such as pulling a carriage around Central Park. it's not that different from pulling a carriage in Equestria, after all.

Except for the regulations. So many regulations. The law is complicated, and it's not really set up for an Equestrian pony.
