Every year Gallus feels a weight in his chest during Hearths Warming-or Bluemoon Festival. His second Hearths Warming Eve at Headmare Twilight's School of Friendship, Gallus is left all alone. Sandbar, the only one left, has noticed. He tries to help, and gets more than he expected.

The "sad" tag is added because every time I hear Gallus talk about his life I want to cry for him.

On what was supposed to be a short jaunt to Trottingham, Bright Mac, Pear Butter, and Granny Smith meet their ends leaving the Apple siblings alone.

Big Mac, as the eldest and the only adult, now must take on the mantle of the Sweet Apple Acres patriarch.

He only hopes he can see it through.

Caramel's life could be considered a simple one at best, but a boring one at first. He's never been one to easily make friends, that's for sure. Lately, King Thorax is feeling rather down. Although his friends are already dating or married, he feels left out. Hearing this, his brother, Pharynx with the help of Equestria's newest adviser, Spike, set out to find the King a mate. But there's a catch to this match-making, Pharynx has reason to believe that his brother is gay. So who exactly could they get Thorax to date and, more importantly, will it go well in this comedy of assumptions?

After Twilight Sparkle reopens her School of Friendship she decides, as an act of diplomacy, to hold another Friends and Family Day to prove her school is different this time. Almost everyone agrees that this is was a good call and has a good time, but one earth pony refuses to and it's up to his griffon friend to try and change that.

This is a Season 8 story, based on only the first two episodes. Which means I'll probably have to mark this under Alternate Universe eventually.

Can they work together to pass the exams? Is Sandbar able to help his friend? But how will this all work out? And how will those feelings they have for each other play into the mix?
