When Celestia's own advice prompts her to confess her attraction, Twilight discovers a secret that Celestia has hidden for hundreds of years. With the fires of the sun itself separating them, can Twilight find a way for them to come together?

Smoky Nights would like nothing more than to sleep through the day and explore the night. Unfortunately, her parents don't share her passion. They believe, like many ponies, that the darkness hides too many dangers for a young pegasus to fly safely, even by moonlight. Desperate to prove them otherwise, Smoky approaches Princess Luna with a request that she make the night brighter. This small favour marks the beginning of a friendship, a bond that will follow the Princess like a shadow for the rest of her life.

Frozen to the bone then heated with a fire from within, Celestia cracks and Luna is the witness. Luna offers forgiveness, but is Celestia too hardened to accept it... or give it for that matter?

"You" are Anon, and you can't understand a bloody thing these little horses are saying. It doesn't help that you're only ten. Oh well, at least they're nice. Especially the queen horse, Celestia. At least that's what you think her name is. Anyway, she's awfully cuddly, always hugging you or some such. Honestly it's nice and all, but you are starting to wonder just why she is so affectionate...

Then one day Cecilia disappeared.

He knew that Cecilia vanished into the side of the statue, the same place she lamented the 'mirror closing' two and a half years ago. He threw a rock at it... and it vanished. It was true. He had to find her.

He didn't care about Cecilia's madness, about this 'Equestria' or her obsession with ponies. He loved her. He loved her enough to walk into Hell itself. He would bring her back, no matter what.

I never thought that this day would come; the day that my dad would finally find someone to be with after being alone for so long. Not only that, but the one that he found, the one that he's decided to spend the rest of his life with, was none other than Princess Celestia.

I do feel happy for Dad, really I do, but I still didn't like the idea of my father getting remarried.

The thing is, though... I have no idea why I feel this way.

This story takes place in a universe where the human and pony worlds are in close contact, and the ponies are anthro in this story.

This is my first time writing a non-comedic story, so let's see how this goes. And because I know someone will ask:
