Wooo my first fic ever! Always been a big fan of HiE fics so decided to give it a shot myself. Hopefully it isn't too depressing at the start, I have some cute ideas for some wholesome moments later on.

After a rather painful wake up, Jackson Hail finds himself in a rather scaly skin. Just what is he? How did this happen? Where is he? What's with the quivering yellow horse thingy? You already know this answers, but let's come along with Jack as he finds out.

(Your standard Human in Equestria story, with some not so standard elements I hope. I came up with the idea after I saw that almost nobody thought of this. Please note that this is my first fan fiction, so, you know, the usual dribble. Also note that I have no idea as to what categories this falls into quite yet, so I'll be modifying as I go along. A death has occurred in Draconis. A new Queen has taken throne and with it, tensions build between the nations. As Spike and his friends help struggle to keep the peace between the two, a dark threat will be unearthed that threatens not only Equestria but Avalar as well.

Feeling restless at the dragon temple, the purple dragon of legend decides to take a leisurely flight one night. That all changes when a freak storm sends Spyro tumbling through a vortex and finds himself in a rather colorful new world.

Six months. A lot can change in such a short time. Like going from a human guy on Earth to a female alicorn in Equestria. I may be mostly used to my new body, but I still haven't found my place here. Being an alicorn has only made things worse... everyone expects great things from me, and too many ponies look up to me for no other reason than because of what I am. Hopefully I can figure this out sooner rather than later...

Looking to explore the concept of how a blank-flank alicorn would fit into Equestria... without the stupid silly charisma, insane magical ability, or supersonic flight capacity. I know alicorn OCs have some stigma to them that instantly labels them as a Mary/Gary Stu, but I plan to avoid all of that silliness.

But it's not all rainbows and butterflies with my return as my pony friends' souls start separating from their bodies not long after our arrival. With their souls housed in my mind and the other princesses attending to business in The Crystal Empire, I set off on the long trek north to get help from them with fixing this dilemma. But an ancient and familiar evil threatens to corrupt me during my journey. Will I make it in time or succumb to the darkness, dooming my friends in the process?
