It's been two years since representatives of the United Human Federation arrived in Equestria, begging for help in a crisis situation. Months later, the Human-Equestrian Alliance was formed. But now, relations between the two species are strained, as mistrust begins to boil. It comes to a head when all UHF forces leave Equestria during a massive invasion, leaving the ponies to fight for themselves. Have the Humans abandoned their allies? Or do they have something bigger up their sleeves? The clock is ticking, as the ponies are on the verge of complete surrender, and humanity might just be Equestria's last hope.

(A/N: I know this is a beaten to death idea, but I'm putting my own spin on it, as well as some "Ace Combat" Elements.)

It's been 5 years since the The War. This is the first historical account of it, including eyewitness accounts from both sides of the war.

9 years ago humanity returned from it's self-imposed exile and started what became known as The Human War. That war changed the face of Equesteria forever. Now, after 5 years of tentative peace, it is time to tell the story of what the war was and why it was fought.

My first fic. Go nuts with criticism cause most likely the only one I ever write, unless I get another idea stuck in my head and it refuses to leave without writing it. It also lacks definite "main character". After The War parts just to show glimpses of post-war life, they are not suppose to connect to main chapters anyway, apart from the first one.

Also, in case you wonder that someone is commented on being dead in After The War parts but is not mentioned in main fic, well, history books tent to focus on major actions. They don't name every single dead soldier and usually jsut mention major battles, leaving smaller skirmishes out.

This story is undergoing a massive rewrite. Expect everything to change soon.

A Russian MVD Spetsnaz team is sent smashing into the ground after the Mil Mi-24 they were in was knocked out of the air. A short time later, the crew and passengers wake up to find themselves in the wreck of the helicopter - but nowhere near Moscow.

As they desperately attempt to find out where they are, they will discover that they are not alone: Other humans have also found themselves in similar situations. However, these disorganized forces may soon be fighting for their survival, against an enemy that they could never have planned for...

The original version of the story, as published 2013-2015, can be found here for those that want to read it as it was. Editing on the original story was done by The Rainbow Brony, and I am thankful for the time that he put into the story to make it better than it would have been otherwise.

Humanity as a race has finally fallen and Earth has been purified. Equestria is now a stronger nation thanks for all it's new inhabitants, the newfoals, formerly humans before the purification of Earth. The celestial sisters rejoiced in their thrones, because they drove humanity to a new step of happines though the ponification and assimilation of all the humans into Equestria. Or so they thought.

Led by a mysterious stallion of indomitable will and resolution, far away of equestrian frontiers, a city stood defiant against Equestria itself as the last hope of humanity, maybe not humans anymore at the surface but at heart. With the last remnants of human knowledge inside the minds of the dwellers of this thriving city, will they be able to recover their identities and freedom? Or they are going to succumb against the problems of forming a independant state from Equestria?

A/N: This is my first shot at something as complex as The Conversion Bureau universe. I'll take mainly the original premise of this universe plus some adds from here and there, so you can look at it as a personal view about it.
Don't expect frequent updates on this, since I want to think each chapter. Anyway if this little thingy manages to be liked I can think about be more swift with the chapters, but I'm a very inconstant and tend to take far too time to write.
By the way, I hope you like this story!

Special and big thanks to Jack Kellar for spotting errors and edit the story thus far to make it more readable. (Damn my lack of english vocabulary)

Days prior to the planned march on Rome, Benito Mussolini is anxious.

Oh yes, he has been given the go-ahead from the American ambassador and has thousands of blackshirts and some of the most avant-garde fascists behind him. However, this strength is deceptive, just like the confidence he made sure to wear in front of his fellow fascists; his own blackshirt commander told Il Duce that he would not act against the king if he resisted, and there is still the army loyal to the crown that is ready to fight on his word.

Doubt plaguing him, Benito is now at a crossroad: should he continue as planned or perhaps flee Italy altogether? He decides to take a night stroll to iron out his thoughts.

That is, until a freak earthquake hits Naples and changes history forever.

"Horizon, taking almost wholesale the structure of T. S. Eliot’s The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock, has done something really incredible here. He’s managed to not only write some beautiful poetry about Sombra, Celestia, and the dichotomy of ice and fire, but tell a coherent story of longing and loss." – alexmagnet
"Melt is perhaps, by what I’ve seen, the best [poetry] this fandom has to offer." – RazgrizS57

"Highly Recommended" by Present Perfect

"This is one of the finest examples of literature produced by the fandom, a beautiful homage to T.S. Eliot." – Illya Leonov
