The Fire of Friendship has all but faded. One thousand years ago, Equestria fractured... those who disagreed with Celestia's rule left under the leadership of Princess Luna to found their own nation, their own way of life. Over the last nine hundred years wars have frequently waged between Equestria and Lunaria, each seeking to unite ponykind under their own ideals. Equestria's mastery of magic often gave it the edge in battle, but never enough for a decisive victory. Peace reigns for now, but recent developments in Lunaria signal a shift in the balance between the two divided nations...

Twilight finds a book written by Celestia hidden in her castle, and plans to publish it. But as she tries to unravel its mysteries, she wonders who it was written for, and why.

It's always been known that Canterlots elite has been full of scummy ponies that benefit off of the ponies under them, reaping the reward of what others have sown.

But what if there was a new contender to oppose them? What if that contender was otherworldly? What if that contender was benevolent towards the common pony? What if that contender was... Undead?

The Dungeons and Dragons crossover is mostly for lore and names, and that the main character is an original character I had made when I was extremely tired. I had enjoyed the concept so much that I decided to try writing about it a bit. I'm not completely sure how long this Fic will be, but I hope long enough to be satisfying.

Rating is for mentions of alcohol, fantasy fighting, and the fact that the main character is living impaired.
Gore tag is for the 4th chapter that is skippable.

It's been almost twenty years since Sunburst last spent the night at Starlight's home. Much has changed since then. If it weren't for her other friends finding a way for them to reconnect, Starlight might have truly lost her first friend. While she looks back fondly on their friendship as foals, Sunburst doesn't even seem to like talking about that time in their lives, much less revisiting it.

When Starlight approaches Sunburst the night before he returns to the Crystal Empire, she inadvertently discovers something about her old friend that might explain it all.

Inspired by a scene from Uncommon Bond. Story takes place towards the end of the episode.

But he's also extremely shy—scared, even—and emotionally closed off.

Luckily, fate is on Fluttershy's side, enabling her to get to know him, and sadly discover that the single beating she witnessed is only the tip of the iceberg. Perhaps a little kindness is just what he needs to open up. Kindness from a friend like Fluttershy.

And perhaps what awaits Fluttershy is more than just a new friend.
