A broken party of friends struggles to reunite. Rainbow Dash continues to fly east.
“Alright, you ugly bunch of melon fudges...”
Rainbow Dash gritted her teeth as she shot like a bullet towards the armada of Ledomaritan ships currently encumbered by the unmanned zeppelins swarming into them.
She smirked viciously. “Time to give you a distraction you'll never forget—”
She didn't finish her sentence. She suddenly didn't have the energy to finish her breath. The pegasus' entire body went slack as an uncomfortable wave of numbness flew through her like a tsunami from behind.
At last, she sputtered, fell, and collapsed across the hull of a tiny dirigible. The pony's armored weight threw the thing off balance, so that it veered to the left, falling into an awkward spin before the hungry cannons of the three big battlecruisers.
“Unngh!” Rainbow Dash grunted, gripping ahold of the ship and hanging on at the last second. “Gah... nnngh... oh for Pete's sake...” She fought to keep her eyes from rolling back. “Not now... please, Celestia, not now. I can't...”
With a gasp, her face contorted with surprise. Sweat ran down her brow as she gulped.
“Wait... this isn't the same... this is d-different! What the...?”
Slowly, still hanging onto the ship with numb hooves, she turned to look towards the west.
Rainbow had to squint at first. It felt like a star was exploding from the heart of Blue Nova. Then, as the seconds throbbed by like veins in the corners of the mare's eyes, the city skyline once more became clear, for the light had focused to a tiny, pulsing speck, a lavender light emanating brightly from somewhere in the heart of the maretropolis.
“What...?” Rainbow Dash gawked. “Huh...?”
It was difficult to keep from passing out, but from where Rainbow clung to the spinning ship, she guessed that the light was coming from one of the many skyscrapers, and a top floor at that.
“I don't get it...” She seethed, quivering from head to hoof. “Feels... f-feels like...” A shuddering breath. “Eljunbyro...”
Her moist eyes went wide.
“...Belle.”

Really, I have nothing else to say. I have no clue what's about to happen.
Also, I am slightly inebriated.
Awesomesauce!
RD found Belle!
>inb4 Belle died for using the flame, or has Dash-cancer (voice cracks and continually expanding Dash-like character)
Oooo... Magic be magicing magically.
I wonder if one of my older theories is going to be correct. If Dash has too much chaos within her and Belle just absorbed the harmony flame, do they cancel each other out, therefore only being able to live when they are with each other. Meaning Belle has to accompany Dash on her trip.
Nah, I don't think that it was Belle who absorbed the flame, it was the book.
Which Belle has been using to get around.
Hmmmm...
This is Australia...
It just occurred to me: Has it actually explained what/who Innavedr is? Either it hasn't (perhaps a big revelation at the climax?) or I'm having the most epicest of brain farts. I still say it's gonna be Kera, but what do I know?
Anyway, interesting turn of events these past two chapters. Things are coming together nicely.
...now we just wait for something awful to happen. I'm looking at you, Shell.

I've wondered that, too. If Belle (and even the representatives of the other runes/symbol things) will help to suppress the chaos energies in Rainbow and sustain her over the journey. That would tie in nicely with the whole (friendship = harmony), (harmony > discord/chaos) thing the show has going on.
So, Belle balanced the choas in RD. That's cool, solidify's her purpose as "the wind beneath her wings." And numbness has a specific feel to it? Ah well. I'm not an expert on these

I won't mind suffering a case of Dash. I need a dose of awesome in my bloodstream, badly.

Kera knew the symbol is pronounced "Innavedr", but didn't know its meaning. The most explanation we've ever got is from one of the Xonan foals in chapter 101:
So I dunno, it seems like the entire party accompanying Dash is Innavedr?
My previous theory was that Innavedr is Kera or all the Xonan foals, since the first chapter of Austraeoh opened with Dash, Eljunbyro with Belle and Innavedr with Kera.
Her Rainbow senses are tingling!

Crap, I'd forgotten about that bit. And I usually have a pretty good memory for details. So Innavedr seems to be a collective term. Makes sense, considering the party that seems to be coming together here. So maybe the remaining 9 symbols won't necessarily correlate to individual characters. It'll be interesting to see how that develops.

How did you learn that word Rainbow? Kids these days, Picking up the darndest things from the strangest places.
Also, the blitz is nearly upon us, I can feel it in my blood and my bones.
Well this was awesome to read, despite how short it is. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go calm down an entire room of analysts who are reading the story with me. Once she said Belle's name, the entire room erupted into cheers and whoops and cries of victory.
*grabs a rolled up newspaper*
I'll be back momentarily.
The kettle is on the fire now.
Soon, the plot explodes.
3059620>>3059244
Having followed and read this story more closely than any I have in a long time, the words are indicative of the journey. Austraeoh is the name for the one who will relight the world's spark. We've seen this in Dash's ability to activate what I like to call the World Machines, both in depowering them and repowering them for various purposes. Eljunbyro was the one who would help reignite the spark (indicating she would lose faith and need to have faith restored within her, as represented by Belle, who when Dash was faced with the horrors of what she had done, had been made to do, and had been done to her was at the brink, but to be brought back. Now, thanks to the foals, we know that Innavedr is those who will give wind to the spark's wings. They will speed her on her journey.
Now I can only speculate here on who it is, but I am positive that the glowing beacon of insanity-ship known as Nancy Jane under the helm of Floydien is how those who wish to travel with Dash, because it will be able to keep up, to a degree. Dash won't go racing on and abandon others as she has before, because she's realized she cannot do that. She needs her Elljunbyro, her friends, to keep her going. At this point I'm speculating that the party will whittle down slightly (Namely, Phoenix and Tweak I see leaving, possibly Imre, and Clark though I suspect we will lose Simon through other means) and that 'core' will continue on. (The core being Dash, Floydien, Belle, Pilate, Crimson, Eagle Eye, Imre, Roark, Kera, Props, and Ebon Mane with the last two being ship-based ancilliary characters). With what we just saw revealed and what was discussed earlier, the Noble Jury/Nancy Jane has been modified to be able to transport world sparks, such as the one now contained in the book. As to what effect, I can only imagine.
Bearing this in mind with what has been revealed, the implication here is that Equestria itself, as it drifts through the chaos surrounding them as was found by the alicorns, is broken. It's part of a ring of 12. It's easy to assume Dash's job is to reignite the connections here, but I suspect this is only part of the tale IC has woven for us. None of this explains the dark side, for example. But I hazard part of what Dash has been doing, in activating these World Machines, is creating a sort of beacon that's calling the other world machines out to the Equestrian one, starting to draw them back together.
Time can only tell what we have in store!
Bbbbbbllllrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...
It all comes together.
Time to bring them all together and get the hell out of Ledomare. Dash has been stuck here for way too long.
Well, more support for Dash's deep connection to the world machine. Her weakness might not actually be Discord-caused, but have more to do with the state of the world, the proximity of machine-sparks, etc. Or this might be something secondary, because she started absorbing the flames rather than because she absorbed Discord. Interesting thought: Discord was, himself, one of the world-machine flames, and her killing and absorbing him is what actually kicked off this whole Austraeoh thing. Actually, I'm leaning towards the combo on these ideas. Lots of interconnectedness to be had.
Dun-dun-DUUUUUUNNN!
I thought Eljunbyro was supposed to 'bring wind back to Innavedr's wings'. Dashie sank like a lead balloon.
How's THAT supposed to help.
Silly Bellesmith, I don't think it's 'opposite day'!
So the book is not only made of the same stuff, but metaphysically directly linked to the Austraeoh. Just how close is that connection? What about that book made it a bearer of the Spark, so to speak?
3059244>>3059620>>3060258 Innavedr literally means 'completion of wind'. In the context of what is presented to us, I've always interpreted it to mean that it brings the purpose of Eljunbyro to its fulfilment: to grant the Austraeoh the power it needs to fulfil its own task. I had been wondering if it also implicates the consumption of Eljunbyro, the deaths of Belle and Pilate, but that does seem less than likely by now. To bring the wind to the wings of Austraeoh is the purpose of Eljunbyro already, and explicitely so. I get the feeling that both Innavedr and Eljunbyro are essentially the same process, but beginning and end respectively.
Keep in mind that the dark side and bright side of the world were created only after the world broke, so they only affect one segment of it - the segment that the alicorns thought was all the world. So the dark side would merely be the outer side of the Equestrian ring segment, the one whose surface has not been relighted by the alicorns.
That describes my feeling for the entire series.

I guess due to stupid copyright concerns, it would have to be humans and wizards or altered humans. But damn, I can already imagine a trailer for the current 3
Austraeoh: A lone figure walks up in front of a brass tower.Narration about the world is dying, chaos begining to overtake the ability of the world's inhabitants to stop it. She places her hand on the tower. A spark jumps. Rumbling. Steam hisses out of numerous pipes. Lights shine from above, illuminating the machine world as gears start spinning and earth starts ripping. Magical wings sprout out of her back as she flies out the roof as the entire building rips out of the earth.
Eljunbryo: Assuming the viewer had just seen the first one, Replay some scenes from Austraeoh, which ends in a different pair of eyes opening up, gasping for air as she awakes from sequencing as she dies to Axan.
A second trailer could accompany it, which can begin as a propaganda advertisement, but end with the camera focusing in on a steel coffin, covered in bits of blood and blue feathers.
Innavedr: Narration on the party being split, scene cuts of where everyone is, and ends with the airship breakout. Cuz Nancy Jane looks awesome.

The book was found being clutched by a pegasus skeleton, if I remember correctly. Possibly a connection there...?
3062234 No doubt, but that alone wouldn't explain the connection. Either the pegasus is really from the time before the world shattered, or - much more likely - she wasn't the one who originally owned to book either. It is somehow connected to the machine world in a way that means that it must be linked to either the old makers or keepers - the pegasi among them. But I wonder just how and why.
3062710
I'm thinking that it's probably this.
Another point to keep in mind is that the book itself is titled Innavedr, as confirmed in a long-ago chapter with Kera. The fact that Kera can read the language is worth pointing out as well, because she doesn't know what it means. I'm sure that there's a conspiracy theory in there somewhere...
IIIIIt's Dashie's First Get-Backing Adventure!
Well then! This is the first Dash magic moment we've had in quite some time. Good to see you again, lavender light that hovers over important things. Also, I've been thinking - when Dash leaves Ledomare, will she be taking Belle, Pilate, etc. with her on her journey? I doubted it before, but with the Noble Jury, they could potentially all go east together. It would certainly help Dash to have Eljunbyro with her on a consistent basis, and we can bet that Innavedr is somewhere in this group. And these chapters just keep getting cooler and cooler. I feel that the end of Innavedr is approaching...These are my thoughts so far.
-MASH
P.S. Two left! LET'S GO!!
Great timing Belle...
Aha! So there's the link between Dash and Belle I was waiting for. Awkward timing, but hey, at least their cosmic connection has been reactivated before either party goes raring off in the opposite direction for some reason or other.
Now, is Dash supposed to collect these "sparks" from all over with her magic book and then transfer them into the heart of the machine thing in one kinda mega spark? Or is Belle now the spark collector, and Dash the spark carrier? I'm bad at the whole remember whose title/job is whose thing. They can just be spark buddies together, I guess. Blessed be the spark of awesome!
...I'mma just keep reading.
One heck of a beacon, that.
Interesting. The Book, RBD and Belle; Innavedr, Eljunbryo and Austraeoh - they're all seem to be connected.
So they really are connected.
-Spirit
Now this is interesting.
Fuck YEAH! All we needed was a spark to start!
Best to know what Austraeoh is up to before you go meddling with the flame, Eljunbyro.
It's awesome how they're all connected like that. But really, Belle, gotta be sure what Dash is up to when you go do stuff like that. Also, yay! Dash found Belle! The gang is almost all back together.
~SolidFire
Chapters like this make me wish I could "like" the story again.
I'm just trying to figure out how in the wide wide world RD just instinctually recognized that "power".
Definitely not natural, I'll tell ya that
6711671
Well, at least now we know what effects happen when somebody "linked" to her makes contact with sonething of great power.
I'm guessing it's like an electric shock and suddenly you go stiff
