I liked the idea of the changeling drone look being a 'form' they all take for a uniform army. Don't think I've seen that before.
This deserves more recognition than it has. I wouldn't doubt the feature box placement for this story if the old layout was still here.

Oh, I'm joining the competition for fun, plus I've wanted to write a changeling story for some time. With all of the featured authors and talent joining up, I highly doubt that I'll even stand a chance at winning. He ventures into an uncharted land, only to end up with a bullet in his head.
That was a fun little one-shot, reminds me of that old saying "a stranger is just a friend you haven't met yet".
I saw this more just General/Random then sad. Though it was a nice little read and I am happy I did so. Also, I believe this would make a wonderful series.
