Hitch needs help to keep the town free of litter after hundreds of new ponies move to Maretime Bay. He recruits some crows to help, causing disturbing nightmares, before the feathered vigilantes begin attacking the town.

Not a bad start. Giving some Alfred Hitchcock vibes so far.

...

I'll see myself out.

Oh definitely, I had to resist the urge to post the rest early... Each chapter is named after / inspired by a bird-based horror movie! :twilightsheepish:

Climax and Epilogue will be on Halloween.

Woah, this story is so cool and unsettling and I'm really intrigued so far! I can't wait to see what transpires next!

Well, as soon as you mentioned the twitches, I had a feeling on what was happening... Unfortunately, my hunch was proven right haha.

Another good chapter. This story desperately deserves more attention, in my opinion.

Thanks, I hope this one is going to spread by word of mouth once the climax comes out today and people decide how much they like it. The story was just missing something that stopped it from becoming an instant hit.

This story went from 0 to 100... or more accurately, from 100 to 500?

I googled Groth-Golka--interesting beast, I hadn't seen much about it before!

May I ask when the next chapter will release?

I was planning on putting out the epilogue tomorrow before noon, it's the final chapter. That way it may get a few more views.

Dang it! Another cliffhanger ending! Oh well. At least this stories finally starting to get the attention it deserves.

That was a fantastic read. Thanks for writing this story!

When I saw "funeral" and "Hitch" in the same sentence, I gasped and had to stop reading for a few minutes... It made me feel very somber and I had to recover haha. At least he's technically still around, but I feel sad for Sunny and her friends.

Also, I really love how you wrote Sprout in this story. A lot of stories with him in just showcase him being humiliated and punished, but he was actually a normal, reasonable character in this who isn't treated differently than anypony else. And I love that he's taking Hitch's place now.

Overall this story made me feel many things and I'll definitely be coming back to re-read it a lot!

Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it. I tried to fit a lot of different horror things into it for Halloween, so it moves a bit fast but covers several fun ideas.

A little cliff hangery, but not being sure what happened to Hitch is kind of fun. He made a difference for the town regardless of whether he's alive or dead after being petted and hugged by one of the old ones. :pinkiecrazy:

“No yelling in the house, sugarcube!” she replied.

But you just yelled.

And could it be Sunny's eye?

Once I finish reading this, I think I'll have crowphobia. Is that even a word...?

those creature parts sound almost like parts from historical figures. A scale from Spike, a horn from Chrysalis.. antlers from Thorax?

Yeah, bits of corpses of long-dead ponies and characters from gen 4. Kind of adds to the eldritch horror of how they'd even still be around for the crows to find in the first place, do eldritch gods collect corpses as trophies?
