This story is a sequel to Equestria Girls: A Fairly Odd Friendship

Despite triumphing over his most recent foes, Timmy feels no joy from his victory, still hurt from the betrayal and cruelty he endured at the hands of the Dazzlings, a trauma so severe he is plagued by horrible nightmares and outright sleepwishing that are endangering those around him.

Fearing not only her charge but the damage he could inflict, Sunset and his godparents decide to bring him to Equestria, with Sunset willing to reunite with her estranged mentor to get Timmy the help he needs.

Unfortunately for him, sinister forces with a grudge against Timmy learn of his trauma and seek to exploit it for their wicked ends. When backed into a corner, Timmy faces two choices: face his fears or lose those he cares about.

Awwww poor Timmy

Is it wrong I feel bad for Sonata and Anti-Wanda?

After two years, this series is back! Pretty strong opening.

Figures Anti-Wanda would be dumped early on, makes you wonder how she even married Anti-Cosmo at all if he willingly uses his wife as canon fodder.

Looks like Sombra's big problem as a ruler came from constantly resorting to execution for every minor slight, leaving him with no defense against Celestia and Luna.

So, any reason you didn't use the Main 7 (EqG) tag like the last story? Does this imply human Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, and Fluttershy won't be involved this time?

11782713

Why? Stupid Evil is not less evil. You have already read how they behave when given the upper hand.

11782823
But Stupid Evil is one of the more reformable evils.

I will say this, The Dazzlings using the weaknesses and their rules against them was very clever. I mean tricking them with breakfast food that's past 10:30AM & the competition is smart. Also if they have wish power again, I wonder if they'll might wish for a lawyer like Timmy did with Norm the Genie to got against Celestia. I mean no even princesses can go against the people or should I say the creatures of their world who have rights.
11782759
Well Wanda did say she married Cosmo because she makes her laugh and the Anti versions of the fairies are mostly opposite versions of their personalities. I mean have you seen Anti-Jorgen?
11782713
Sonata, yes. Anti-Wanda... eh... its hard to say given that she's the dumbest Anti-Fairy as Cosmo is the dumbest Fairy.

Ha, gladly you are back with more odd parents and sunset, and Dazzlings here, I will enjoy this like you wouldn't believe :D.

It's been a long wait, and I say the first chapter is going strong.

It was brilliant the way Anti-Cosmo and The Dazzlings (the Sirens) used the fairy's weakness of the rules and butterfly nets to defeat them. You're the first person I've seen someone exploding their weakness like that, or I could be forgetting someone else doing that either in canon or another fan fiction, but still, this is a unique idea, and I commend you for your brilliant writing.

Anti-Cosmo abandoning his wife surprised me; he was always annoyed with her, but at the same time, he never seemed to hate her or be apathetic towards her. I read another story showing that they love each other despite their flaws. Of course, this is your story; I understand if you feel better differently. If you think about it, Anti-Cosmo and Anti-Wanda's dysfunctional marriage isn't all that different from the regular Cosmo and Wanda, but it appears that in this story, Cosmo and Wanda genuinely love each other while Anti-Cosmo does not love his wife. Maybe I'm reading too much into this, but how much Anti-Cosmo abandoning his wife would affect the story? Fairies and anti-fairies are supposed to be mirrors of themselves; of course, they are opposites, but some things seem the same, like marriages and children, with Anti-Cosmo abandoning his wife. What does that say about Cosmo and Wanda's marriage? Again, maybe I'm just reading too much into this.

Now, on to The Dazzlings (the Sirens); it was great to see them back in the story and your characteristics of them shine through.

Sonata Dusk still has the perfect balance of sweetness and dizziness with callousness and cruelty. I loved how she genuinely appeared to bond with Anti-Wanda and was concerned when they left her behind, but when her sisters said they lost nothing of value, she just shrugged and moved on. A lot of people think that Sonata Dusk is the most redeemable of her sisters, and while she may be dizzy and kind at times, she is still as evil as her sisters in your previous story shows; I'm not saying that redeeming the character is not possible and I seen other stories do that, but at the same time it's showing that she has no problem doing evil and being cruel. Personally, I think it would've been possible to show her more broken up about leaving Anti-Wanda, but her shrugging and just moving on without caring about abandoning Anti-Wanda is entirely in her character. Perhaps if she had more time to bond with Anti-Wanda, she would've been more unhappy leaving her, but that's just a guess.

You really nailed both Adagio Dazzle's practicality and inability to understand well. She is willing to share power with Timmy Turner and Moondancer and decides not to betray Anti-Cosmo mainly because he knows that betraying and abusing your allies and minions will eventually take me in the butt and when is the reason she never abandoned her sisters other than her love for them is practicality. Of course, she fails to see why Timmy Turner and Moondancer Turned on her in the first place, not understanding that they don't care about power and are against her and her sisters for moral reasons. I loved Adagio Dazzle's reaction when her sister Aria Blaze called Timmy her boyfriend, and she didn't get a chance to kiss him. Adagio is disgusted at the thought of being involved with a 10-year-old. It is angry that her sister would even joke about something like that; she does have some standards if nothing else. That reminds me of fairy odd parent fanfiction in My Sick Little World; Vicky was confronted by her dark side; she was skeptical, saying that she is the dark side, but when she learned that her dark side has a repressed attraction towards Timmy Turner, she was disgusted saying that Dad was just sick and wrong, she admitted that she might be depraved, but there are certain lines she would not cross and that she's still a human being. Also, it looks like Anti-Cosmo is taking the role of the father figure and evil mentor towards The Dazzlings (the Sirens). I'm interested in where their relationship will go.

This was a great first chapter, and I am looking forward to this new story in future chapters.

Awesome! The sequel is finally here!

I'm gonna take a shot in the dark and say that the first friends Timmy makes in Equestria will either be Dinky or Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon.

i.redd.it/ye1bqtmgj9761.jpg

Can't wait to see what Cosmo and Wanda turned into when they went to Equestria?

Although their shapeshifting might be problematic as the Equestrian has a bad experience with shapeshifter.

11782713

11782759

I dumped Anti-Wanda early on because while having one dim character in a group can be good, having too many idiots makes the story more annoying to read than cute. Sonata already filled the quota for "team idiot" and I felt having her together with Anti-Wanda would make the story more unpleasant than funny.
11782831

I will say this, The Dazzlings using the weaknesses and their rules against them was very clever. I mean tricking them with breakfast food that's past 10:30AM & the competition is smart. Also if they have wish power again, I wonder if they'll might wish for a lawyer like Timmy did with Norm the Genie to got against Celestia. I mean no even princesses can go against the people or should I say the creatures of their world who have rights.

I wanted the Dazzlings to come across as formidable bad guys who can plan and think.

So thank you for your words.

11782948

It's been a long wait, and I say the first chapter is going strong.

Thank you.

Thank you. I wanted Anti-Cosmo and the Dazzlings to come across as genuine threats than goofballs.

Anti-Cosmo abandoning his wife surprised me; he was always annoyed with her, but at the same time, he never seemed to hate her or be apathetic towards her. I read another story showing that they love each other despite their flaws. Of course, this is your story; I understand if you feel better differently. What does that say about Cosmo and Wanda's marriage? Again, maybe I'm just reading too much into this.

It's not that I hate Anti-Wanda. But I think her, together with Sonata, would make come across as annoyingly stupid rather than laughably stupid. Like how Pinky and the Brain got dumb when Elmyra was tossed in with them. She had to go.

Now, on to The Dazzlings (the Sirens); it was great to see them back in the story and your characteristics of them shine through.

Sonata Dusk still has the perfect balance of sweetness and dizziness with callousness and cruelty. Sweet and spice doesn't make everything nice.

Your analysis of Adagio was very spot on. I want her to come across as an intelligent and practical but still narcissistic and self-centered person who only values people when they are tools.

And yes, Anti-Cosmo being an evil father figure is how I wanted him to come across.

Thanks for this large review.

Definitely makes sense. Curious, what did you think of Forgotten Friendship? I know you weren't a fan of how they handle Wallflower Blush's motivation for still holding a grudge against Sunset, but how did other aspects of the special fare like Sunset and Celestia's reconciliation, Sunset and Trixie's newfound friendship, and the scene of Sunset taking the blast to lose all her high school memories if it meant the other 6 would keep theirs?

11783274

All that was pretty good, but still the worse villain motivation besides "my best friend moved away."

About the death of the Crimson Chin series, I think that one might be the Nega Chin's work. I mean he's the only comic book villain to escape into the real world

11783593

He also stole the idea from The Increadibles?:trixieshiftright:

Rainbow, Scootaloo and Mr Turner, screwing over Dinkleberg for fun and profit!

I thought it was a critique on how modern comics and shows about comic books are being made nowadays

Wow, this chapter was published quicker than I expected, but I’m not complaining. I love the whole take that to the woke garbage in Hollywood. Considering The Rainbooms are three-dimensional, strong young women, they are the perfect people to be disgusted by woke garbage.

Now, onto the plot. It looks like the girls are concerned about Timmy, and they’re going to spy on him instead of just talking to him. A part of me is disappointed that they don’t just speak with Timmy, but I remember the events of the last story where things were and did the two groups keep in space with each other because it’s a trauma Timmy suffered. I understand why Sunset would be concerned that Timmy may use magic to keep her from talking to him. Still, I feel that she should’ve just tried talking to him first, and she should be called out on that later.

Tad & Chad with Remy Buxaplenty are causing trouble again. Publishing Timmy’s diary that’s a new low. Can Tad & Chad really get away with that? I know this is fiction, and very rich, but there has to be a limit to how much they can do before their wealth can’t save them. It’s interesting to know that Remy Buxaplenty can’t reveal Timmy's fairies without losing his fairy godfather; Remy Buxaplenty shows that he may love his fairy godparent, but he will not stop his feud with Timmy anytime soon. Juandissimo Magnifico, for all his love for Remy, is sick of the feud and sees Timmy as a nice kid and wishes that Remy would leave him alone. Even the thought of dating Wanda doesn’t have the appeal for Juandissimo Magnifico anymore.

The rest of the chapter was good with the gags. I thought it was funny that you use the same job for the last chapter of someone older dating Timmy, with the other characters being disgusted. And we have someone who wants to use Timmy with just to get things.

Finally, there’s the elephant in the room; the Rainbooms should know that Timmy can’t wish actual harm on people because of the rules. Granted, he can accidentally hurt someone if it’s magic, but the rules were never mentioned in this chapter, and I wonder why. Why are the rules not mentioned in this chapter? Did they forget about it? I will say in the later chapter.

It's a great second chapter, and I’m looking forward to what you have in store for Timmy.

Adagio is seriously playing with fire here. After her last defeat, she got off relatively easy. She goes too far this time, and she might not live long enough to regret it.

Or even worse, she DOES.

Glad to see the sequel, can't wait for the next chapter!

Scoots," Rainbow said to her surrogate sister, "you know what they say: it's not cheating if you don't get caught!"

"Makes sense to me!" Scootaloo said, accepting the logic.

Reminder that in canon Rainbow's choice to get the camera from Mr. Doodle was flat stealing it, so I can't say the exchange is out of character.

Da Rules need rewritten.

Pretty good commentary on how some franchises try to be woke and progressive with some reboots. Granted we've gotten some great ones too like MLP Friendship is Magic and the Equestria Girls spin off, DuckTales 2017, Scooby Doo Mystery Incorporated, and She Ra 2018 as well so not all reboots are like that.

Based on Gilda kissing Limestone, does that imply that Gilda/Limestone romance is an official thing? I can definitely see that.

Man if Timmy's causing some reckless wishes on Francis, Tad, and Chad, one does wonder if he has or will also make reckless wishes in getting revenge on Vicky, Crocker, and Dark Laser too?

Surprised Pinkie is now against Timmy using his wishes to get revenge even after finding out Timmy can't kill anyone with Da Rules, considering how the last story had her actually side with Sunset and Rainbow in being okay with it when he was getting revenge on Gary and Betty.

The words made the Rainbooms look at their newest member with concern. "Darling," Rarity asked sadly, "you've never felt that way? What about your relatives? Surely you were close to them?"

An even more morose expression appeared on the fire-haired girl's face. "Well...the truth is-"

Looks like we're getting some backstory on whether or not Sunset even has parents and if they're still alive by now. And a possibility of that tying in with why Sunset became mean in the first place. I can see you were intending to address that in your Sunset's Steps series before you opted to put that series on indefinite hiatus.

I have seen a common headcanon that Sunset is an orphan who sees Celestia as her adopted mother or at least a parental figure.

Let's hope this attempt at spying won't cause Timmy to get more distrustful toward the Rainbooms, though at least Cosmo and Wanda would vouch for them this time.

Interesting how Juandisimo is getting a bit uneasy on helping Remy get revenge on Timmy, it does fit in with how he is friendly with him, Cosmo, and Wanda when Remy isn't around, being why he is more of an ally to them after season 5 (being when Remy stopped appearing).

That's why they aren't rushing to speak with him, if his magic could be used to serious hurt someone they would not spy on him and instead speak with him at the first opportunity.

"Well, it appears Beaver Boy is fighting against the creeps in his life." Limestone said with no small amount of appreciation in her voice. "He's being his fancy rock to good use." Sunset and the other Rainbooms' eyes widened in concern when they heard that. The first bell rang, and Pinkie's second oldest sister started to leave.

Also, I thought Maud was Pinkie's second oldest sister while Limestone was the oldest one.

11783593

About the death of the Crimson Chin series, I think that one might be the Nega Chin's work. I mean he's the only comic book villain to escape into the real world

I never considered that actually.

But now you've given me an...idea....

11783627

Rainbow, Scootaloo and Mr Turner, screwing over Dinkleberg for fun and profit!

Isn't envy a wonderful emotion?

11783632

I thought it was a critique on how modern comics and shows about comic books are being made nowadays

Pretty much! I was taking a swipe at Fairly Odder and the modern entertainment industry as a whole.

11783692

Wow, this chapter was published quicker than I expected, but I’m not complaining. I love the whole take that to the woke garbage in Hollywood. Considering The Rainbooms are three-dimensional, strong young women, they are the perfect people to be disgusted by woke garbage.

This is a swipe at a lot of modern entertainment, but mainly Fairly Odder, The Last Airbender, Velma, and the worst aspects of the Marvel Movies.

The key issue is this: while they know Timmy is suffering genuine emotional trauma, they are concerned that he can't seem to get it under control nor can Cosmo and Wanda reign him in. Even without rules, Timmy can still a lot of damage, which is why they feel the need to intervene. And they do it secretly because Timmy has enough magic to make hard to reach out to him.

Aside from hitting on a married Wanda, and you really shouldn't do that, I never considered Juandissimo evil. As a being whose job it is to help kids, I can picture him trying to guide Remy toward better choices than pursuing a stupid grudge;.

The rest of the chapter was good with the gags. I thought it was funny that you use the same job for the last chapter of someone older dating Timmy, with the other characters being disgusted. And we have someone who wants to use Timmy with just to get things.

Running gags are one of the best parts of the show.

But even without rules, again, Timmy can a lot of mayhem, and the Rainbooms want to rein that in.

11783730

Reminder that in canon Rainbow's choice to get the camera from Mr. Doodle was flat stealing it, so I can't say the exchange is out of character.

I think in the more morally ambiguous setting of FOF, Rainbow would do a lot more shady things.

11783710

Adagio is seriously playing with fire here. After her last defeat, she got off relatively easy. She goes too far this time, and she might not live long enough to regret it.

Or even worse, she DOES.

Glad to see the sequel, can't wait for the next chapter!

She's a villain. By their nature, they don't know when to quit.

11783786

Pretty good commentary on how some franchises try to be woke and progressive with some reboots. Granted we've gotten some great ones too like MLP Friendship is Magic and the Equestria Girls spin off, DuckTales 2017, Scooby Doo Mystery Incorporated, and She Ra 2018 as well so not all reboots are like that.

My main target was Fairly Odder for its disgraceful existence, but yeah my criticism was the broader subject of bad reboots.

Based on Gilda kissing Limestone, does that imply that Gilda/Limestone romance is an official thing? I can definitely see that.

I felt they would be a natural couple.

Man if Timmy's causing some reckless wishes on Francis, Tad, and Chad, one does wonder if he has or will also make reckless wishes in getting revenge on Vicky, Crocker, and Dark Laser too?

You'll see.

Surprised Pinkie is now against Timmy using his wishes to get revenge even after finding out Timmy can't kill anyone with Da Rules, considering how the last story had her actually side with Sunset and Rainbow in being okay with it when he was getting revenge on Gary and Betty.

Remember, Timmy turned her into a worm in a fit of Dazzling-induced madness, which would make Pinkie wary if he started acting out again.

You'll see.

The worst thing Juandissimo did was hitting on a married woman, but he's never shown any malice toward Timmy. I can picture him getting annoyed with Remy's vendetta.

11783852

Also, I thought Maud was Pinkie's second oldest sister while Limestone was the oldest one.

Mistake corrected.

11783853

Definitely a critique.

When you remember Timmy pretty much deals with this stuff and a long assortment of villains on a weekly or daily basis it is kind of hard to figure out how much is too much or if the Siren training he got was a bit... Too effective.

Also got to love Rainbow Dash and Timmy's day being on the same wavelength even after all this time.

Side note... Yes it would be hard not to leave a side note wish list when knowing someone could wish stuff up so long as they avoided the restrictions in Da Rules... And now I realized how lucky the world is that Timmy has Crooker for a teacher... Imagine Timmy with a proper education to further enhance his lawyer like abilities.

11783692
They know Timmy is a smart kid hampered by a bad teacher. He knows exactly how far to twist certain rules to rather frightening ways if possible.

As one joke went 'You can wish yourself to be a giant monster to stomp on someone, but can't wish a bolder to drop on someone?'

As a less funny joke - he nearly got rid of them by turning them into worms and feeding them to birds.

Timmy is a very effective rules lawyer if needed and he hasn't exactly forgotten all or the Siren training tips even if they weren't good life advice.

Nice chapter and also the comment about the ten year old dating?

Yes it is a joke, but lets remember three things.

1) She isn't trying to date a ten year old.
2) She is essentially immortal and out lived entire nations.
3) laugh as much as you want, but we have seen how A LOT OF WOMEN are attracted to the older Timmy. A joke today might be different in eight more years.

Also got to admit... Anti-Cosmo acting as the dad of their group was not what I was expecting.

11783864
So, what do you think of the some of the Rainboom ships with Rarity/Applejack (which Rollercoaster of Friendship emphasized a lot with the writers admitting to shipping them and Spring Breakdown having Rarity fall in love with a male Applejack), Fluttershy/Rainbow Dash, Sunset/Princess Twilight, and Sunset/Sci-Twi?

11784047

Sci-Twi/Shimmer and Rarijack are the most believable ships!

He approached a solitary baking oven just as the timer went off. He walked up to the appliance and pulled out a chocolate cake.

And here I thought he was getting ready to capture the escaped prisoners from Abacatraz. I stand incorrect. :facehoof:

"You fairies can learn to make sachatorte and other tasty dishes from my new cookbook, the Joy of Cooking...AND PAIN!" Jorgen held up his cookbook. The cover illustration was a smiling Jorgen, chef's hat on his head, tossing screaming fairies into the mixing bowl.

That's... nice? :twilightsheepish:

"Let me try," Sonata said happily, using her feet to eat the tacos. The youngest siren's sister gave a happy cheer as she fed herself using her lower extremities. "They do taste so much better," the youngest siren exclaimed to an equally cheerful Anti-Wanda. Aria let out a shudder of disgust at her younger sister and Anti-Wanda eating with their feet while Adagio and Anti-Cosmo facepalmed, wondering what they both had done in their past lives to deserve being stuck with their younger sister and wife, respectively.

That's disgusting. :pinkiesick:

Jorgen was incredulous. "What?!" The toughest fairy in the universe facepalmed in annoyance before letting out an annoyed sigh. "OK, try Plan B." The blond fairy flew back to the escaping prisoners. "Pretty please don't escape and try to take over the world again?"

What a great idea. Not. :duck:

"Wait-," the commander pleaded, only to be crushed by a bad luck-created anvil. Aria finished the fairy soldiers with a special bazooka to fire butterfly nets, leaving them powerless.

"Wait!" The commander pleaded,*

"Yes-," the commander and his forces said at once, only to realize their magic had been deactivated. The shocked fairies looked at the youngest siren's clueless expression, which became one of vicious calculation.

"Yes!" The commander*

"OK, just checking! Sorry," Felix said reassuringly to the movers before flying back into the loading dock.

Idiot! :twilightangry2:

"I'm not angry," Jorgen repeated as he happily bashed Felix's face against the wall. The toughest fairy proceeded to tear Felix's arms off tenderly. The toughest fairy in the universe magnanimously slammed Felix's body into the ground with nothing but warmth and care on his face. He kindly and gregariously broke Felix's spine in two.

Dear lord! :pinkiegasp:

Only to retract it and slam one of her boots onto Anti-Cosmo's hand, much to his horror. "Adagio! What are-, " looked up and found nothing but cruelty in Adagio's eyes. "Long live the queen," Adagio said in a cold tone that dripped with megalomania.

What are you-" looked up*
I could tell the line is a reference to lion king. :ajsmug:

Adagio started laughing at him mockingly like she'd seen a hilarious comedy. "You should've seen your face!" Her two younger sisters are also laughing so hard at Anti-Cosmo's expense. "You actually thought I was gonna betray you and seize ultimate power?!" Adagio paused before continuing to laugh uncontrollably.

It looked like it. :ajbemused:

Having been a siren, Adagio was guilty of many things: lying, stealing, brainwashing others for power, and removing the "do not remove tag" from the mattress when no one was looking. It was all a small price to pay so she could achieve the greater good: power for herself and her sisters, which was the ultimate good of life itself.

Why a do not remove tag from a mattress of all things? :applejackconfused:

"I am not arrogant!" King Sombra replied. "I have both the power of the shadow," he paused with a smirk, "and the power of my mighty army!" The wicked king said dramatically. The pony princesses looked expectantly, only for nopony or any other creature to show. A look of profound embarrassment crossed the king's face before his arrogant demeanor returned. "I said, 'the power of my mighty army.' "

mighty army'."*

"I don't need an army to fight-" King Sombra barely finished the sentence before he was bonked on the mallet held by the Lunar Princess. The dazed King let out a crazed cackle before falling to the ground, the two lunar princesses acting as if all they had done was stomp a tiny ant.

Lmao!!! :rainbowlaugh:

Jorgen's burning rage gave way to something colder. "Breaking out of prison is one thing...but impersonating sweet, innocent Binky crosses the line!" Jorgen's face was so angry that veins were visible on her forehead. Jorgen chased after Binky. Fairy World echoed with the sound of blasting and Binky's pathetic shrieks.

Poor Binky. :fluttercry:

Applejack immediately took out her lasso, swung it onto the TV, and yanked it out of the commons rooms through a window. "Phew!" Applejack sighed with incredible relief, no longer having to watch that abomination. But that wasn't enough for Rainbow, who collapsed into tears over the mangling of one of her childhood shows.

Whoever made that clearly has no soul or care about children or content explicitly made for them. :applecry:

"Oh, Rainbow! There's no reason to be so dramatic, darling!" Rarity assured her friend before making a horrible realization. "Oh no, I wore my purple scarf with an aquamarine skirt. This...this is the WORST. POSSIBLE. THING!"

:facehoof:

"Sunny-Wunny," Pinkie Pie chirped, "why are you so down-," Pinkie gasped. "I know, you miss Timmy-Wimmy, don't you?"

down?" Pinkie gasped.*

"Alright, just checking," Rainbow said abruptly with a smirk before leaving the room. "Night."

Thanks for being a great friend Dash. :pinkiecrazy:

"Hello, I'm Chet Ubectha," the diminutive reporter said while hanging from the edge of a news chopper. "On the Channel 7 Live App. Prolonging network news' inevitable demise for a few short, miserable years." The man said sadly before his trademark smile reappeared on his face. "Earlier this morning, at the top of Dimmsdale Spire, a young man fell victim to the world's highest wedgie." The chopper reached the summit, where they found a kid hanging from the pointy tip of the 500-foot structure.

https://m.

"Uh," The martial arts specialist stammered. "It's a Christmas wish list...of things I want him to buy me...legally from... the Internet."

Uh huh... :ajbemused:

"They always run," Mrs. Stevenson mocked before tearing off her professional attire, revealing a ninja uniform underneath. Holding a pair of nunchucks, she dived out of a window.

Now that is a woman I'd not want to mess with! :twilightoops:

"There is a problem: a giant sea monster menaced the Dimmsdale Yacht Club!" Chet Ubetcha said, showing footage of a giant purple squid attacking the club, sending its wealthy patrons running and screaming for the Hills.

Just had to jinx it Sunset. :duck:

Remy Buxaplenty watched the interview from television in his family's limo, his face contorted in rage, and Juandissmo sitting in his lap in the form of a ferret. "What's this? Why weren't Turner's godparents exposed!" Remy exclaimed angrily. His plan was relatively simple. Wish for Turner's diary, have those two idiots publish it in their name so he could have deniability, and get that reporter to reveal to the world Turner's godparents.

I should've known it was him. :twilightangry2:

"Nonsense!" The blond-haired kid barked. "It is unfair for Turner to have people who love him more than me!" A crafty smirk appeared on the rich kid's face. "Besides, if Wanda wasn't his godmother, you could start dating again."

Life isn't always fair kid, take it or leave it. :moustache:

"There were several casualties of this disaster," Chet Ubetcha reported solemnly. The Rainbooms all gasped. "Many beloved were lost in the attack." The Rainbooms began hyperventilating. "Six prized vases, seven antique chairs, and dozens of porcelain dishes." The Rainbooms let out a sigh of relief. "But you can replace that without sacrificing your wallet at Barnyard Bargains: The Store of the Common Man!"

Do they clearly not think about the people who watch them!!! :flutterrage:

"THIS JUST IN!" Chet Ubetcha yelled into the microphone. "GIANT PLASTIC DINOSAUR TOY ATTACKING DOWNTOWN TOY STORE AND STEALING TOYS!" The massive monster started tearing apart the toy store and stealing all the toys, with children and parents running away, screaming for their lives.

Yep, Timmy has lost it. :pinkiecrazy:

"The origins of this mysterious monster is yet unknown," Chet Ubetcha began, a mysterious band-aid on his forehead before his expression became more dark and foreboding, "but it is in the opinion of this reporter that such an incident could've only been the creation of an evil, destructive, and monstrous child who deserves a bit time out."

deserves a big time out."*

At the Dimmsdale Annual Cook Out, Mr. Turner and Dinkleberg had reached the finals. "Mr. Dinkleberg has presented us with a gourmet quiche," the judge said approvingly. He then sneered at Mr. Turner's abomination that he called cooking. "While Mr. Turner has presented his sweaty-sock casserole."

How on earth has he not be disqualified yet!?! :applejackconfused:

"We all know who the winner is-," the judge began. He took a deep breath as he prepared to make the announcement.

winner is," the judge began.*

Dinkleberg strode to the parking lot and saw two men in jumpsuits preparing to tow his car. If not for the fact that they had brown mustaches, he would've mistaken them for two girls, one with rainbow hair and another with purple hair.

Of course it was Dash and Scootaloo... :pinkiesad2:

"Local Out Of Town

"Local Out Of Town"*

Something sad that I always keep in mind about Timmy is that all that bad things that happen around they would solve themselves if Timmy didn't was there.
And we know about this for the episode where he wishes that he never existed.
And everything is fine for all the people close to him.
So I ask to myself, it's the same with the equestria girls?
Everything it would have been better if he didn't exist?

So back to my point. It's the episode where he travels back in time and ruins Crocket life already happened? And the one that he wised he never existed is canon here or is something you have reserved for the future?

Daran Norris (voice of Cosmo, Timmy's Dad, Jorgen, and Anti-Cosmo) has recently confirmed there is another FOP revival in the works called The Fairly OddParents A New Wish.

https://www.nickalive.net/2023/07/daran-norris-confirms-new-fairly.html

A pitch bible for the show mentions it happens over 10,000 years after both the 2001 original and Fairly Odder.

Thoughts?

I was aware of the new story, and I already discussed it in this blogpost.

In layman's terms, I am not very optimistic about this idea because of how poorly conceived Fairly Odder was, but I won't rule it out completely.

OK, that episode WAS an abomination for implying that you should believe jerks who tell things would be better off if you weren't around. I will not go down that rabbit hole.

Well, what about Juniper Montage and Vignette Valencia? How were they? I have seen a lot of people considering them to be the worst among all the EQG villains for their incredibly rushed redemptions and getting off scott-free for their crimes (at least Wallflower's worst actions never reached the same level as Juniper and Vignette) and easily forgiven too.

11788708

Don't think to highly of them.

11788719
So given you don't think so highly of Juniper Montage, what was your process for how you approached writing for her in Vanishing Act where she plays a major role in that story?

11789175

I saw making her into a more well-rounded and sympathetic character as kind of a challenge.

Had I written the story a year later, I might have gone with Moondancer or Wallflower.

So, what do you think of how Princess Luna's redemption (aka the very first Gen 4 redemption) was handled? Considering you can tell that Sunset takes some inspiration from her with becoming corrupted by their darker sides into Nightmare Moon and She Demon, and both trying to kill Twilight and her friends when in their corrupted states (I don't think Sunset and Luna would've resorted to outright killing if they hadn't been corrupted by their darker sides), and subsequently becoming instantly remorseful for how far they went for their dark goals after the Elements of Harmony revert them out of their corrupted states, Sunset and Luna do parallel each other a lot.

And how about the way fans can coddle Princess Luna the same way you criticize the fandom for doing with Sunset, what do you think of that? Especially with those same Luna fans occasionally trying to make Celestia look like a bad person in response.

11790169

I don't think too much of it. It was written when MLP was just a girl's show, so I didn't obsess over the details.

11790198
Fair given this was early in the show's lifespan.

Also, did you know Nicole Oliver (Celestia's VA) sang "You Are My Sunshine" at a convention back in 2014 (this video being a fan animation synching to Nicole's vocals?:

Considering the first story had a chapter with Celestia singing a lullaby to Sunset when she was younger, keep this moment of Nicole Oliver singing "You Are My Sunshine" at the back of your head in case you get ideas. Wink wink.:raritywink:

So, what do you think of how the show handled Lightning Dust? Considering Lightning Dust never really showed redeeming qualities or any sign of changing the same way as Gilda and you trying to show Lightning in a more positive light in this story, what did you think of how she remained a bad person to the end?

Finally finished the original and caught up to the story, excited to see where it’s gonna go. I know that the Rainbooms might be wary of Timmy’s magic, but spy on Timmy 2 electric boogaloo doesn’t seem well thought out.

Also kinda curious how/if the boyfriend joke will pay off somewhere down the line.
