This story is a sequel to The Apple Falls Far from the Tree
Apple Bloom thought her Everglow days were behind her. Sure, she got a lot out of it, mostly cool stuff, including tales to share, but she was back on safe Equestria. Nothing that strange happens that the adults don't take care of, but there it is.
Reading the prequels is not required, but would explain why Apple Bloom knows what she does. You will be able to enjoy the story outside that if you can just enjoy an alchemically competent filly!

Er, pony what now? I'm sorry for being a dumb dumb, but I'm not a die hard fan of the series so I don't know much outside of some of the major bits in the timeline. Also, I wasn't really assuming anything about d&d, or anything really. I just saw the name on the front page of the site, clicked and read the comments. Hence why I asked in the first place, I'd never heard of "everglow" before and wanted to find out.

Ok, I think we should stop this conversation here to avoid a downward spiral into an argument. I wanted to know what everglow was, and got my answer. Not trying to be a jerk here, my brain just works differently compared to other people, and as such things I say–or in this case, type–can be interpreted in an offensive way that just leads to a fight unless you know what to look/listen for when talking to me. Such is the plight of having ASD and dysthymia.

Alright, now it's my turn to admit confusion. Are you asking if I'd like to play an RPG type game? Because if that's the case, I like to screw around with Skyrim from time to time, so I guess I would like that type of game. Though I have a huge preference for Skylanders, to the point that I have a little over 150 of the figures on a bookshelf in my room.
If you're asking if I'd play pony finder if it was a video game, then no, probably not.
