Demigod time.
Good question... how about a demigod, Enigma? Riddle that out!
Pedros following of his legend will really gain him improvements, both in local power and in jungle rewards?
Pity hitting the engine room on the ship is one of the most delicate and expensive places, given all the electronic controls etc, but at least most of the bulk of the engine should be able to withstand glancing shots by mid calibre rounds? Or would the demons not be bothered by suffocating halogen fire suppression, only by harsher Antactic winter cold of CO2 systems?

Well if blowing up a fort could be called an improvement... I mean, he kind of already is pretty powerful, main point for him would be the boon to his reputation for that victory, no?
Well... as far as I've thought about it, I would look at it in two ways: stuff that could compromise bulkheads, and stuff that would just damage the equipment. I really have no clue about 5.56 vs a watertight bulkhead at close range, but given plate thickness, I would say 7.62 (NATO that is, and maybe 7.62x39 too) have enough power to go right through. Including hull plates.
As for the rest of the equipment... most ammunition of any caliber should be able to damage their own gear if they miss their shots, no? It's probably not a big deal if what you hit is a sewage pipe with your 9mm, but given all the stuff you'd find in your average engine room, it could go anywhere from high pressure steam, heavy fuel oil, compressed air, and all the fuze boxes and high-voltage electronics needed to automate a 10.000 tons vessel.
As a last note, halogen fire suppression I only ever saw on one ship, and that was a navy vessel built in the sixties. All the other cases I've witnessed were either CO2, sprinklers, water mist, or another combination thereof for fire suppression. Assuming it's any of the last two equipped on Fugro? With water mist being the most modern (and probably efficient) method and thus more likely to be found on such a ship?
Would do bugger all to suffocate boarders I'm afraid.
wow 2 awesome chapter ,and it looks like things are about to get messy.
Are there zebras in this story?

I recall one appearing in one of the anecdotes with Naomi in Tanzania but that's about the only time one appeared in the flesh. All the other times, it was just referring to them and how they compared to other species ability-wise, which was mostly about their inherent potions skills.
So of the species least represented in this story... I'd list Zebricans (one appearance), Breezies (one), and Changelings (zero appearances in the flesh). I'd count Kirins too, but Spring Gleam was one.
