Gee, ya think?

The other time (depending on how you define "effective") is, of course, MORE DAKKA. Not really an option if everyone's scrounging, but I feel it's still notable.
And moss golems, oh boy. At least it's not full of bees.
so much to comment on and all of it good.
i will just say ,, this is a awesome chapter.
HiP really could do with researching simple heavy drops? Keep the Predator high, not just out of BMG range, but gives Kinetic assist to a dumbdrop with a Large suprise?
Glad they got at least one of the larger crew out, now to see how the pressure cycling works, would dogs have resiliance through ground pressure, dig depth etc at all?
Logging ina MAgic forest is great, as long as they have the blessing of the forest and its protectors, in order to come to an arrangement, like Boars plough the ground, beavers cut trees and flood valleys, Bears carve, wolves hunt etc? Humans are another part of the landscape, its just removing the landscape that the Forest wants to put a stop to before it gets started?

Depends how you view their digging technique. If you think they're 'swimming' through the earth when they do that, then yeah it would make sense that they get crush resistance like that. But if their tunnels are more open and the weight of that soil doesn't rest on them? There are plenty of underground gasses mining operations have to pay attention to, let alone subpar oxygen level, increased CO2 ratios, carbon monoxyde,...
On that level, wouldn't it make sense for D-Dogs to have a 'lenient' respiratory system? I'm not talking 'dragon' good - these guys are in a league of their own-, but some amount of resistance to common industry gases beyond normal levels wouldn't hurt them.
That might still affect how fast they can be cycled in a decompression chamber too. I can't fathom how - that's beyond my level-, but I reckon it might.
Same goes for dragons. Obviously.
Roof Koreans vs bandits.
I see what you did there. I approve.
I have a question to ask is there a way that you can have a D&D kobold in this series and maybe have a few of them joining with the the boat they're so adorable and cute and they're very useful to have especially in their settings.
If you do decide to bring a couple kobolds into the series could you name one of them Maria Stryker who happens to be a bard that has a tendency to flirt with everyone male or female who loves playing lute the has the power to calm down any type of emotion or rock out if necessary.
It would be awesome to see this character create new songs that explain about their travel in some way talk to you about the harsh and the people who didn't make it also will be kind of cool with a storytelling and singing that could be part of the bat pony radio show.
That... makes me wonder how I could make Kobolds a thing in this setting.
If I were to take them as is from German folklore (where they came from), then the kobolds you'd get are more akin to house sprites. Goblin-like, that is, not reptilian.
Now I'm gonna assume you were referring to DnD Kobolds. So I'm wondering, how could that be a thing?
*Option 1*
If it were only about size, one could make an argument that as a dragon ages, he could fit as the equivalent to some DnD species: young (kobold), teenaged (dragonborn - basically what Schmitt and Artyom fit into as of now) and adult (fully-fledged dragon).
Strictly speaking, since dragons have a foci in their throat (for their fire), that makes them decently viable as bards without even resorting to human magic.
*Option 2*
Crossbreeding a dragon with Equestrian species.
I'm drawn on which pairing would result in something close to a kobold. Maybe dragon + gargoyle? Thing is, dragons can crossbreed with most species, so the choice is there.
Magic-wise that could get interesting on the racial abilities they get... but I'm still not sure on the combo. Plus it also comes with the intrinsic delay that comes with growing up a character.
*Option 3*
Crossbreeding a dragon with Earth species.
Might get me closer to the kobold, but it's a stretch in that mythological creatures are rarer to come across than 'imported' Equestrian monsters depending on the area, plus the dragon might need to come from the other side of the planet.
Rant over. You got me thinking with that kobold thing. I'll consider the character, though I already have a pair o' bards in the oven so there's that.
