Whole bumch of nice world building that we are very likely not even see an equivalent in canon, at least show wise, unless they decide to throw a couple more movies out?
Intresting varitation having Gargoyles use forearms, Earth Pony style, instead of their extremely modified skull plate, hair, or fangs?
Yetis are the evolved form of Hedgehogs? Its as bad as Pokemon. Especially with the cross breeding charts, but Pokemon doesnt have the hybridisation yet?
If the Rhine is going to have a mixed fleet, how much modification will they have to do to new auxillaries to get them to fit in a Lighter slot?
I quite like how the fantastic defense of turning into fog is limited by several races and items being able to interact anyway. It seems like the kind of thing that would develop organically instead of the usual fantasy "It's magic, I ain't gotta give history for shit".
Also, waiting for the nurse to be a defibrilator.

Not much to the auxiliaries themselves normally. My idea was to basically have them rest on large boat cradles when stowed. The cradles can support their hull, even if the auxiliaries don't have a flat keel, and they can be designed to fit in the cell guides that would normally fit the lighters. The gantry can then pick them up and unload them in the water, where the cradle stays hooked to the crane and the boat can just steam away once the water lifts it out of its cradle.
From a technical viewpoint making the things shouldn't be too hard. Just weld together a couple beams, design a supporting structure fit for each type of auxiliary, and add some rubber pads to the mix to avoid metal-on-metal friction when stowed. The pads would probably be the weakest link in the chain, since rubber really doesn't like seawater.
In which a fish becomes an octopus.
For real though, as I said I'm basing the design choices off the assumption Grubber is more representative of his species than the heavily-modified warrior-class types like the King and his soldiers. His body type, the shape of his snout and his 'crest/mohawk' makes me think of an upright hedgehog more than a yeeti.
The aggressive artificial subspecies jig also serves as a sneaky justification for all their physiological differences. Storm King is a Gen 1, or a prototype; his soldiers are Gen 2, a more cost-efficient variant; and lastly Grubber is just the baseline unmodified hedgefolk.
wow so much information in this chapter i will be reading this at lest one more time.
All this magic lets me think about other potential magic items like the congo sword.
Do you plan to implement magic infused stuff like the imperial regalia of the hre and japan?
