If theyre moving the ship to get closer to the location of their cursed dragon crewmember, wouldnt that put them on top of the Pyramid squad, or they have that location on the map, and the cleric hasnt returned with the tracking needle yet, which they can trig from where they are currently and while sailing?
If eponas new ruling on family is more like Volvox, would it be possible to override the remote Equestrian Griffins rules with Local Deity rules, so that Griffins are less like Dik Diks?Maybe more like a sigma bond than a pi bond? or even floating electron pair?
Lexington is recreating NIHM, and the small black mouse is the equivalent of Fiver, Fieval, Martin etc? Intresting with the Dragon DNA, given the Equestrian charts. Maybe the Earth mice were still too tightly coupled to be able to handle the scalyng? Still, he better be careful. Theres Rats of NIMH 2 and 3.
At least in France they can get going once more, though someones eventually going to have to do something about the city of Cave Trolls, unless they somehouse either kill them selves off or become a civilised barbarian town, and not a source pit of Cave trolls to swarm out and strip the surrounding countryside of edibles and occupants? The map marked with the oldest bridges would be best, as those bridges were built as fording alternatives, so as the bridges fail, the river is passable to an extent in similar locations, usually? Except where super bridges are built to span gorges etc?
If the demonic growth on the warship is in the region of the boilers, I wonder if its a squid based that manipulating various parts of the ship with tentacles, and if so, just where is its siphon, and is thats the reason its doing the speed it is, or that its cruising speed and it can really move when it wants to? Could be worse. Imagine if the demonic beast was a Skate. A hydroplaning warship?
From what I've read a Mark 46 torpedo can cut a destroyer in half so that's those ship doesn't stand a chance against one of those 🦈🦈🚤

They do. Remember the air recon? Moving off to Tùxpam is for the attack on El Tajin. Not retrieving Mikhail (whom they don't know the location of yet). Sorry if the way I wrote it wasn't too clear.
Is there even a need to override griffon mating? Probably works just fine as is coded into their biology. The good point with that technique though, is that you can pair-bond a griffon with a species that otherwise wouldn't normally reciprocate their mating style. Like a pony or a hippogriff.
Without that the griffon would just bond for life with a creature that's not guaranteed to love them back. Even at best, not to the same level.
What, you mean dangerous, unethical experiments could possibly blow up in Lexington's face? How cou- Hold on...
*proceeds to hide plot device under the carpet*
I mean, what's the worst that could happen to him?

To be fair I was told that too... by folks that worked with that weapon system and maybe were a bit too hyped up by it. I'd take that claim with a pinch of salt. Nowadays when you refer to a destroyer it's usually an Arleigh Burke and they're notorious glass cannons, plus you have to acknowledge that among all torpedoes in NATO arsenals, the Mk.46 is the lightweight one. It's a submarine killer. The Mk.48 is what you'd employ to sink ships, which is why it's the one used on subs.
Its warhead is listed as 44kg of HE compound.
Looking at how much damage that many explosives can cause when used in an IED, it's nothing to scoff at.
But... 44kg is about 20-25% of the explosive mass you'd have in anti-ship missiles.
Would it damage a light cruiser? Of course. Would it break its keel in half? I think that's stretching it. Moreso given the light cruiser in question isn't quite normal anymore.

On the Mk. 46, See Mk. 14 and BeauOrd.
You don’t know if it works unless it was actively tested.
