At least the Equestrian crew managed to reach and meet the ships crew. Now they can send reports to and fro for updates?
How long before HPI satelites start picking up the larger distortions, destructions left by the Heavies, given they are most likely sheilded from direct detection?
Wow... wotta chaptah! I loves it! Looks ta me dem Equestrians didn't QUITE know wot dey's got demselves intah, eh?

Let's face it, they probably spotted them within hours of their arrival. If not for detection by thaumic sensors, then the meteorological satellite network would have picked up the physics-defying storm front that's trailing behind the Storm Airship. That's not exactly what I'd call 'subtle'.
Now it's not like they can actually do anything to stop the heavyweights from setting up considering they're still working on miniaturizing their shield tech.

Eeyup... that right there. That's what makes me more afraid of native accents (in any language actually) than foreigners speaking the language. At least with the latter you don't get the pronunciation paired with a local's avalanche of words, they take their time.
God knows I nearly had an aneurysm when I had to listen to Zeebrugge Port Control's own brand of Western Flemish on the VHF. I swear these guys... like, can't you speak normally FOR A SINGLE SENTENCE YOU KNOCKOFF DUTCH MUPPET. Might as well be speakin' Tagalog for all I care, at least then I could ask a Filipino to translate...

I do indeed find it most unfortunate when reality has to make way for clarity. What I do find fortunate is that I can spell out the accents phonetically, so most people can at least get an idea of what is said.
Some characters in some of my stories, however, much of their 'reality' is tied up in their 'vocal descriptions', like Rapid Transit in my one line of tales.
I did find this chapter most interesting, and look forward for the next installment.
clears throat okays, backs to my reality. Keeps up da good woik, pallie!
