well the hippogriff's can now change and it looks like the griffons ill be in the air really soon.
things are progressing nicely.
Poor hedgehog. Gets duct cleaning duty?
All te hippogriffs have the conversion spell included in their base matrix instead of requiring a seperate item?
Griffons have it tough with flying. Far more limbs etc to remember to keep tucked in when doing basic moves, and a lot more complexity in movements when all in use. They have yet to realise cloud shaping because theres not enough steam, condensate release to trigger it yet? Which ports, locations are most likley to get fog banks at this time? Chemical fog cloud manipulation?
Spring is getting more insistant. If the population increase due to returnees is going to be far too low, then magics just going to keep egging them on and get on with local supplies?

The poor part about that hedgehog in particular was when a centaur landed on her I'd say, ouch.
Yes, my justification for that particular choice stems from the inherent magical difference between Earth-born and Equestrian-born lifeforms (which the story has yet to discover so I won't say too much) which results in the differences in matrixes and magical abilities. The ability comes with certain limitations of course, and natural transformation is more streneous than item-assisted change.
Not as naughty as your question, but survivor-wise I designed the first arcs up until Copenhagen with less survivors in mind. Anything that occurs after they leave the Oresund will have genuine colonies.
Still, life finds a way...
