One avien passes, another is laid, unless theres a clutch, depending on relative squab maturity on hatching?
I wonder how many tens of thousands of acres of flax they would need to plant to supply the ships with linseed oil, but at least they would have all the material for linen production. Depending what Canvas is based on for sails, and waterproof and inflatable structures?
Its a good thing the visit was switched to projection, because even with their entire armory, theyd need more than a couple days to work out how to assign positions, move them around and set them up with contingencies?
Have HPI been informed yet about the presence of multiple high capability hostile groups and the loss of what little support was possible at all?
What is the price on Amandine for stowaways? Also, did they give the Scirocco a radio? We'll find out in the next chapter, I hope.

Radio? 'course, they installed one VHF/HF combo before they sent the airship to Norway, Alejandro was on board to operate it and keep in touch with the fleet.
Nothing about them actually knowing how to use it though, Equus doesn't have radio tech.

If you mean the Four Horses and the Demons then yes, Dilip's been slipping them the info (for a fee) ever since Sidereal turned up. However, what he hasn't done yet is telling them where he got the intel from.
Insofar, the HPI never learned about the Equestrian presence on Earth. Something they made sure stayed that way by sending Sirocco to Norway so the airship wouldn't appear next to Amandine on satellite pictures. The Equestrians don't know about the HPI's existence either, obviously.
In their eyes, no support was lost since they weren't even aware there was support to begin with. I'll give you that, Dilip's decision to keep it under wraps so he could sell the intel is a bit janky, but his chief interest remains ensuring that Amandine stay seaworthy for as long as possible. He need the HPI credits to buy parts.
Parrot hens typically produce one yolk per ovary when they're 'in season'. Meaning eggs come in clutches of two, unless there is a misfire in the process.
Sails ain't really useful as far as these ships is concerned, but I am genuinely curious as to how flax-based lube would perform with the machinery. Plus, lest we forget, using centaurs and Earth Ponies on a plantation increases yields to ludicrous levels and may even provide multiple harvests per year. Maybe you'd go from tens of thousands of acres to just a couple hundred if you put enough pony labourers on the plantation.
On another matter I've been looking into the impact of seaponies/hippogriffs on the industry. Their presence alone makes it possible to extract ressources from the sea at a far lesser cost than before, particularly in shallow waters.

If seaponies cant go all the way down to the Abyssal Plain, but still a sizeable fraction the depth, that makes the submersibles that much simpler and easier to build, only needed for the pressure difference? Also, theyre more likely to consider the water equivalent of airships, hot water blimps? set for neutral bouyuncy so on system fail at least it just holds there instead of sinking at least?
How many black smokers are active around the old volcanic seaplug mounts, given theres reported to be tens of thousands of those now, rising all the way from the Plains to within 50-200 meters of the surface? Ideal places for rig and floating island moorings, close surface minerals and mechanical access to the depths etc?

Makes me think there is some potential having a seapony civilization that goes around on platforms waterworld-style. Keeping the platforms in mid-depth waters they can plug the thermal vents to a heat exchanger for electricity, collect the fumes for a fuckton of sulfides and other chemicals once they're cooled down, and still have enough diving capacity to go digging around the place to collect all the minerals these vents churn out.
Maybe a bit harder on the refining side of the equation compared to the Manganese nodules, but it's nowhere near as deep and thermal protection (to get close enough) is probably easier to get than pressure protection or advanced dive training*.
As for the hot-water ballast on a seapony submarine... I don't know but I think that, while the density difference does make the system possible, you get a much more reactive system by emptying a tank. The density difference is just so low between hot and cold water that the submersible would be extremely slow to climb/dive. Plus I think the system might have problems with the thermocline.
*It's an extrapolation, but if you consider an untrained human can dive to 40m, and that record divers can reach 300m with proper training and equipment; maybe the seaponies can reach the 2500m mark. In my notes I wrote that they're at their most comfortable above 150m, but that an untrained seapony can reach 500m if necessary... then I have no reason to believe professional seaponies wouldn't be able to reach the thermal vents.
i can say this hole Copenhagen arc is just amazing even losing Yancy is vary important as it proves to every creature that they are mortal.
and welcome aboard Radiant to a full time roil in this growing story.
we are now heading to America with 2 goals. delivering there cargo to the HPI and getting inland to Alexandria.
on a side note congratulations Alejandro.

Yeah uh... on that note.
I know that actual Alexandria from PaP is in the US. The crew though? If you tell anyone to look for an 'Archive of Alexandria', don't be surprised if they go looking in Egypt. I doubt any of them would even know there are more Alexandria's than just the original in North Africa. Only way they'd know about Lonely Day's colony is if some other survivors tipped them off on the radio.

all the possibility it depends on if somepony from Alexandria has a radio on and or transmitting or who know so many ways or not.
I am thinking that the University of Copenhagen has a Botanical Garden has many resources that could assist Asha in growing useful plants.

Also, the University of Copenhagen mineral collection should be looked at, to see what minerals on post-Event Earth are now strong with magic and thus can be used for magic devices or enhance human-created technology with magic.
