After nearly three long months, it's here.
I had a fantastic time writing here, and I hope you guys enjoyed the additional trainers here. Cheers!
6415863 Okay, who DIDN'T know he was gonna use that gif?
Well, there goes any hopes I had of getting the recommended amount of sleep tonight.
This story is kind of becoming bloated.
6415955 bloated in what way?
Oh ho, you've got to be Spetznaz/SAS/SEAL tier and above the 90% of the Spec Ops force to actually impress them. I'm actually interested on what Vinyl did at Jakarta and Ana's last mission at Indonesia. Great chapter btw.
6416450 Actually, heh, Ana was talking about the time where Pineapple Cutter was in Jakarta.
And as Ana implied, Pineapple seems to creep out everyone, including Vinyl.
They stuck him in a KILN? And were gonna stick Minus in there too?
And they roll...NAZI. (Yahtzee) Geez, that is seriously sick. Nobody stopped and said "Wait, we're putting somebody in a kiln, this is supervillain type stuff, aren't we supposed to be better than those apes and the race traitors"? I mean, WOW. Cuz that type of stuff is Nazi s--t. On the one hand we got to see something rare, pardon the term. Rarity being exceptionally dangerous. Too often it's easy to play her up as not even close to being capable of fisticuffs, but she was positively TERRIFYING in how she came across. Had she not gone into making fancy attire, she could have been an assassin. Forget clothes and rags, break out the body bags! So I tip my hat off to you for that scene, because it was exceptionally well done.
6417278 Locksmith and Gang are not part of the Loyalists, they are from outside Manehattan, outside of Equestria really. They are more hardcore, more similar to griffons and humans than ponies of Equestria
6417345
Ah, so they've no standards, then. Ponies who are DEFINITELY not "perfect".
Rarity and Fluttershy really putting their skills to good use there.
6417278
I probably derived far more enjoyment than I should have from writing the "trapped in a kiln" moment, but then again, I'm the guy who created Pina...
And once more, let's hear it for TB3's work on crafting the final version of my proposed fight scene for Rarity, who is best pony.
On the lighter side, what did you think of the newly-introduced Vanhoover Company? Developing them took us a while, yet now, expect to see more of how the Prime!Equusites work alongside humans.

In all honesty, the experience made things feel...normal. Like it wasn't some hellish war that they're in, but it's a normal day for everyone. Loved the bit with the hands. Cute little joke. It actually made me think of one of my favorite shows, "M*A*S*". There's still that sense of 'you are in the middle of a war', yet the close companionship and aura that's generated makes you feel...almost welcome. It's a nice touch.
6417455
It's great to hear you say that, mate. I know someone who'll be very pleased to see this comment. Vanhoover Company and the current POV character of Ana Bjorgman were a welcome addition to balance out all the grimdark on display here.

Exactly.
Admittedly, I didn't work on this chapter much, but I'll admit, Pineapple Cutter is a lot of fun. I know she's a psycho that can can barely be called a hero since she only fights with the good guys for her own self preservation, but dang it, I love her! She's like a pony April Ludgate, but more of a genuine psycho.
I miss Parks and Rec so much...
Do we have a new google doc for the text we did not (upload onto this site) edit? Or are we taking a little break or something?
6419480 Temporary break.

I may now have soft spot for this chapter, due to it essentially capturing the full "spectrum" of what it's like, experiencing the story we're working on.

I love April too, but to tell you the absolute truth, Pina is basically a recolour of this...

Although the "Cutter" part of her name is a self-aggrandizing lie. She's actually called Pineapple Nectar.
6420164 I know. I just find characters like Pina interesting to play around with because it kind of appeals to this side of me that once enjoyed reading about unsolved murders and abnormal psychology. Plus the fact that Pina actually unnerves Weaver is pretty cool (in a scary way).
Aaaaannnd, I've edited the tropes pages accordingly.
6420480
You too, huh? And last but not least, as Sledge pointed out to me, this chapter spends time on both one of the darkest characters in the Spectrumverse (Pina) and one of the lightest (Ana). Gotta love that.
... With the added bonus of Fluttershy and best pony Rarity showing what they've got in 'em, of course.
6420553
Also, we got to learn more about Short Fuse's home life. Not that we cared all that much before this chapter, but we sure as heck care now!
6422749 Oooh that's certainly an interesting thought!
Good lord, it is so awesome to see an update for this Good lord, nice job all of you guys.
Man, Rarity and Flutters got some moves, damn... I'm kinda scared, but I'm also proud
Good golly what is Rainbow capable of?
Pina sounds dark, jeebus... hehe.
God job again, and I am onto the next chapter!
I seriously need to work on my own TCB stories, jeebus D'x
Keep it up guys!
So wait, the creepy black hair girl, she Alma or the Ring girl?
Morning Glory, uh? The doesn't happen to be a grey pegasus, does she?
Nitpicks:
some for whom
one of a
world's
"fawning"? Are you sure this word means what you intended to say?
Another one of those situations. I take it I'm supposed to recognize that, but I have no clue who or what that is supposed to be. She just kind of started showing up one or two chapters ago with no explanation.
This kind of thing is why Rarity is my favourite character.
One improvement to this story arc would be to give Ana the sniper, a target spotter. I would suggest a strong pony with a military background that can spot targets, defend them both, while carrying extra ammunition and gear. I suggest using TCB: Whiplash who is a member of the Wonderbolt Academy staff. Also, he could fly both himself and Ana to places that would be difficult for Ana to reach by walking or by climbing.
http://science.howstuffworks.com/sniper2.htm
Crew-served weapons are weapons that take more than one person to operate. Weapons like heavy machine guns or artillery pieces are examples of crew-served weapons. A sniper rifle is also considered a crew-served weapon. Though it only takes one person to fire a sniper rifle, it really takes two soldiers to get the most out of the sniper-rifle weapon system. That's why snipers always work in pairs.
A sniper team consists of a sniper and a spotter. The two-man team offers many advantages over the deployment of a lone sniper in the field. The spotter carries his own special scope that is much more powerful than the scope on a sniper rifle. The spotter uses his scope to help the sniper observe objectives and set up the shot. The two soldiers work together to get to the objective safely and discreetly and then set up a position. Here's the general process:
The sniper team uses maps or photographs to determine the best route to the objective.
They walk or "stalk" (more on this later) from the drop-off point to the objective.
They set up a position.
They verify that the position is well camouflaged.
They establish an escape route and a second, well-camouflaged fallback position in the event they are separated.
They locate the target (or know it's on its way).
They get into position. The sniper takes a spot on the ground that offers him the best field of fire. The spotter lies on the ground next to and slightly behind the sniper. He places his spotter scope so that it is as close to looking down the rifle barrel as possible.
They work together to range the target, read the wind, and angle and adjust for other variables that may affect the shot.
They wait for the target.
And in the words of Army Ranger Sniper, "Then you just take your shot and get the hell out of there."
