Now that was a pretty fun beginning! Goldron is a prick of a high caliber, and what's worse, he seems to be quite competent (at least from the brief descriptions) so he kind of has a right to be a prick.

Not much to say but, it was a nice intro at least for what could be some mutual relateable things they can share about their teachers as a base for communicating with each other to break the ice as it were, and shown a bit I guess.
I'm surprised Twilight didn't say anything about the way that wizard spoke to Starlight but there are pressing matters I suppose than to upset one who came to help with a great threat, which may or may not ever appear in this fic anyways. We'll see how this goes from here I guess.
