I don't like the ending that well
great the ending makes me want a sequel
Okay, the story as a whole was good, getting that out of the way first. The characters were believable and the grammar was pleasing on TTS, so kudos. The setup was vaguely cliche and I wondered why Twilight wasn't better informed about the gem and its enchantment.
Holy shit that ending. Suddenly you explained the questions I had and went from "paragraph of exposition > predictable conflict > resolution we expected from line 1 > boring denouement" to "the whole damn story was exposition for something that sounds great." Totally came out of left field and usually that's bad. This fic, however, was framed and presented as a mild bit of cloppy fluff and then you introduced an actual story arc where nobody expected it. Not many writers pull that off, or even try, and you did it well.
I see you haven't been around for a while, but I'm following you in case you ever make a return.
So thanks for that.
