loved it.
Missing a few transitions (like the one between investigation and "I came as soon as I heard") but all in all a quick yet heartwarming story. Scootaloo's idea was great and the ending seemed fast but fitting.
Only one critique: the command to add a horizontal line is [ hr], but without the space. It looks like this:
This story could have use several of those. Now you know!
Other than that, great job! I'm a sucker for Scootalove stories anyway, and this one hit all the right spots quickly and without wasted words. Bravo!

Unfortunately, when rendering HTML, most browsers decide to be "helpful" and remove the "unneeded blank lines" for you. So what you get is a gap that's only slightly wider than the normal gap between paragraphs.
What I normally do for scene separations is put in a centered visual breakpoint, like you see in novels:
In BBCode, this would be done with [ center]** ** ** ** **[ /center] ; in HTML it's <center>** ** ** ** **</center>. (And of course, in WordPerfect, you hit [ CTRL ]-B, but you're probably not using that.

2611477 I don't even think it's an HTML thing so much as bbcode. I could be wrong; I do know that you have to reformat the whole thing after you upload to make it look good, because I normally write in Google Drive and then import, and then go through and fix all the spacing and stuff.
Of course, when I download and upload to my kindle, the formatting gets screwy again (because text) but I always felt I should format to fimfiction (as best as I can) if I'm going to post here. But that's just me.

I love this story! It's like a sequel of sorts to "Sleepless in Ponyville", except it deals with Scootaloo's past and the fact that she was essentially abandoned by her father because he felt Scoots wasn't a true pegasi because she can't fly. But it was brave of Scoots to tell Twilight and Rainbow Dash (who has become her mother figure in this story) about her painful past. As well as Princess Luna, I love it when she plays a heroic role in these stories. I was glad that Scoots was able to get justice and finally put those nightmares behind her. This had a potential to be another Scootabuse fic (not that there's anything wrong with that), but in the end it turns out to be a Scootalove fic (which I think we need more of).
