After the Storm King's invasion of Canterlot, Twilight realizes just how scarce Discord seems to become during any kind of crisis. He would have been a huge help in repelling Tempest and her armada, after all! Seeking answers, Twilight decided it was about time Discord explained himself.

This is Discord, so she should have known it wasn't going to be that simple.

No one can top Tempest for long-wearing yet perfect looks. But how does she do it? What's her secret? Rarity wants to know. And then... she finds out...

A fun, quickie one-shot, not set in any specific AU, though it's compatible with several of my other Tempest stories.

The Storm King was defeated. He was turned to stone, and his body was shattered. But it's not over just yet. He has servants, still loyal to him, roaming over Equestria. Soon, the remains of his body will be gathered. He shall be whole again, and ponies will cower before his name once more. Soon. Very soon. Any day now.

The Library of the Crystal Empire vanished for 1,000 years with the city itself, taking (and ironically preserving) ancient tomes of magic long thought lost to Equestria. Now, in order to protect their own world from Equestrian magic, Sunset Shimmer and the human Twilight Sparkle will plumb the library's depths, accompanied by Starlight Glimmer, Sunburst, and the Great and Powerful Trixie, in order to find the answers they seek.

But soon they are swept up in an experiment conducted by none other than Starswirl the Bearded, who seeks to aid a friend of Equestria, the infamous Tempest Shadow (Fizzlepop Berrytwist) in restoring her broken horn.

One magical ritual, a dose of dimensional-duplicate-insecurities, and a mountain of existential crises later, and... well. Let's just say that Starlight might finally have some company in the "I destroyed Equestria" club.

Twilight Sparkle is exhausted.

All day, she's been working her hooves down to the bone, tackling a never-ending stream of paperwork. She just wants to go back to her guest room, take a shower, and relax for the next couple of years.

After looking around, she opens the door to what she thinks is her bedroom, only to find Princess Celestia and Queen Novo....making out.

Things only go downhill from there.
