A/N: This is a present-tense first-person-narrated tale taking place during the events of "The Crystal Empire". A story with an unclear moral, little excitement, thin character development, rehashed plot, and a foregone conclusion. The most bland, pointless FiMFic I've ever written. Read at your peril.

An accident leaves Scootaloo fighting for her life, and while everypony tries to offer what help or comfort they can, a few may just learn something new: exactly what it means to be a sister.

This is the story of the end. This is the story of the death of Equestria. It is the story of the reign of her royal majesty, Princess Twilight Sparkle of the Fading Sun.

The alicorn sisters are dead and Equestria has turned to Twilight Sparkle to guide it. However, just maintaining a dim sun a fraction as bright as her mentor's keeps the new princess near her limits.

Years have passed and Twilight Sparkle is sure of only one thing. Equestria is dying.
