Sunset Shimmer has some time questions. After a conversation with a fellow pony, Sunset is thrown into a state of panic. How could time be so different?

While writing another story, I found myself asking questions regarding time for both FIM and EqG. After a night's worth of calculations, I came up with something. This story is from some of those findings.

This story is a sequel to Creatures in the Dark

After a murder in the town of Ponyville, private investigator Clue Finder is tasked by Princess Celestia to find and retain the murderer with the assistance of the Third Ponyville guard detachment. But some things are hidden in ones shadow, and secrets that can be held and hidden. Some things look different in the dark than they look in the light.

Have you ever been framed of something that you never done, or was forced into a life that made it difficult to spill no blood no matter the rage you felt. John Mavericks, descendent of Corvo, the Anonymous Watcher, was lost in his home city with the government trying to clam his life. He evades them as long as he could until his luck ran out when he was ‘killed’ after completing a task after taking down politicians that helped kill hundreds in the four years he was on the run.

Now in Equestria, he fights to protect those he holds close and became less naive as he finds that killing no one... isn’t always an option. With his blade stained with blood and an obligation to protect, he knows when one option is the only option.

The Outsider, however, has taken an interest in him like he hasn’t shown to others... even if he’s still a pain in the ass. He has big plans for John... if he passes his test.

Sunset has decided to return to Equestria, but Celestia - ever the teacher - requires her to complete the exams she’s missed out on during her exile. Fortunately, she is given time to prepare.

Gift for Night Spark

Pinkie Pie had been spending so much time dedicating her time to make sure that other ponies would have fun, sometimes even she gets annoyed by laughter. Sometimes she just wants to spend her day as a normal pony being, and yet there is always going to be that mysterious laughter that keeps laughing at everything she says and does. Pinkie Pie decides that enough is enough, and she enlists a help from Twilight to solve her problem.

Some ponies still remember when the newest princess and her fiancée were replaced by members of an unknown species. For those of you close to the affected, these memories remain fresh in the mind. And many of you are still looking for answers.

But what happens if a human knocks on your door during this time? She claims it is a visit by chance, but she has something in common with these previously unknown shapeshifters.

“Gore” tag is for maximum 800 words of PG-13 rated violence. “Crossovers” tag is for the things related to World of Darkness setting.

P.S. I noticed that this story has a number of attributes of a rational fic as it stated on TV Tropes. I intended to make characters not dumb, so it might lead to other things.

The year is 1547 and the Spanish have finished squashing a Maya revolt in the Yucatan. Despite defeating the rebellious natives the conquistadors efforts have proven all but futile as the natives now fight a vicious guerilla war in the jungle. The times are changing as the wealth and glory of days before no longer exists and new officials are starting to arrive to administer the conquistadors' recent exploits. With nothing left to conquer and the Crown is starting to rein in the ambitious Spanish adventurers; the Age of Conquest is coming to a close.

Meanwhile in the Forbidden Jungle, Daring Do is in a race against her nemesis Ahuizotl to search for a long lost temple. During a scuffle she and Ahuizotl are thrown through an ancient portal to the jungles of the Yucatan jungle. Not long after they are captured by a band of conquistadors and brought before the local commander. Seeing an opportunity to keep the conquests going the band of soldiers gather an expedition to cross back over into Equestria, bringing Daring Do and Ahuizotl along for the ride.

What the Spanish don’t realize is they will encounter a land they have only heard in myth filled with magic, monsters, and god like beings. Will they be able to recapture the wealth and glory of conquests before and return to tell the tale? Or will they be destroyed by powerful unknown forces and never be heard from again?

Drop Shot hasn't been doing too well in his health class. A single distraction had been making him lose focus all semester long: his pregnant teacher, Mrs. Sparkle. Upon failing his most recent test on human reproduction, the teacher invites Drop to partake in a one-on-one tutoring session after class to improve his grade. Drop must overcome his embarrassing interest and get a decent grade, otherwise he will fail his class.
