Pinkie watches grass grow and ponders the universe and all the implications of grass.

Trixie is very bored. In an effort to relieve said boredom, she is reading her textbooks on magic.

This is a very bad idea.

The result? A spell goes wrong and Ponyville ends up with two Trixies, or at least two pieces of Trixie.

One is carefree, pompous, and just a wee bit more arrogant than usual about her powers.
The other is a nervous wreck that can't work up the courage to do anything based on the thought that it'll lead to a personal failure in her responsibilities.

They are two incomplete halves of a whole that have a spell to fix.

The problem with fixing it?

One of them decided to run off to Neigh Orleans during a night of endless partying.

Silver Star is only just recovering from a magical ailment that gives him unexpected spell surges. After a night of strange dreams based on a recent tabletop roleplaying game, it transpires that he's not... quite as cured as he seemed.

And now he has a problem. Well, two problems.

This story is set in the Optimalverse, and I strongly recommend reading the other stories in my continuity first.

Some rules within a machine are more like guidelines. And others are based on the definitions of words. Can semantics be a weapon big enough to give a Human mind a chance at one small request from a goddess?

Set in the Optimalverse - I recommend reading Iceman's awesome original first if you haven't - More because it is a really excellent story than because it is strictly necessary for context. I have endeavoured to make this story stand well enough without context as well. But that being said? You'll probably enjoy it more if you know the context better.
