Twilight and her five friends are transported during a botched spell, across dimensions to... Ponyville, Equestria? But not the same one that they knew. Sitting on a bench is Harpsy and Babar. The Doctoress avoids apples from an aspiring Applebuck. And in a library across town, six stallions join their forces as they try to decipher the appearance of filly look-alikes of themselves around Ponyville!

When your life is as dull a gray as the world that surrounds you, the mundanities can make it all seem meaningless. Sometimes all we need is a little color -- or six -- to reintroduce us to what truly makes life worth living.

The Rainboom happens as it should, and a few certain fillies earn their cutie marks because of it. Except little Pinkamena Diane Pie, who went inside before she could witness it. Thus, she never left the rock farm.

That meant she wasn't in Ponyville to throw that party that inspired a runaway colt named Cheese Sandwich.

However, the two end up meeting in adulthood, and the broke wanderer Cheese takes a job at the rock farm, and works alongside the grumpy Pinkamena and her family.

My take on an AU, created upon realizing that Cheese Sandwich was indirectly affected by the Sonic Rainboom. And in case you're wondering, the whole eternal night thing goes the same way as the show (except a different mare--whoever you imagine--wields the Element of Laughter).

Rainbow Dash is visited by Soarin not too long after the Royal Wedding. The two decide to spend some time together... But Dash gets confused about her feelings, so she goes around trying to figure out what the hay is going on. As much as she hates to admit it, she's pretty clueless when it comes to romance. Unfortunately, so are most of her friends, but Rarity knows what to tell her- And Rainbow Dash isn't quite so willing to accept the truth.

Umm... Very first pony fanfic, I guess. Please, feel free to give constructive criticism. I won't take offense. And if you should choose to thumbs down it please say why, it might help me be a better writer. :)

Ever since the Gala, Soarin has had a crush on Rainbow Dash, but more recently these feelings had developed into something more. It had been a week since Dash finally joined the Wonderbolts and her first disastrous show. He worked up the courage to tell Dash how he felt, only for her to reject him. These are the months following this event.

So... I've been a Soarindash writing mood.

Soarin is a young singer, famous in Cloudsdale that reappeared after four years of avoiding the world of showbiz.

"I just want you to be my girlfriend for the media." Soarin said to the girl standing in front of him.
Rainbow Dash who had already recognised Soarin from the beginning, but was not in the least impressed. She looked up and stared at him, then said, "Well, as long as my face is not visible."
Soarin unsuspecting why Rainbow Dash immediately accepted his offer, smiled. While Rainbow Dash could only hope she would not regret her decision. The days of summer as Soarin's 'lover' began.

But what the both of them didn't realise, was the truth of the story four years ago was still haunting them.

Joining the Wonderbolts isn't as fast or simple as Rainbow Dash imagines. Soarin thinks about his own mentor, Dusty Roads, as he helps the new recruit see whether she has what it takes -- and whether joining is really what she wants.

(Inspired by the comic "Memories", the cover image's nonchalant pose, and the story "Moonspire Run" by TitanRising. In hindsight I should've asked TR for permission to imply that their story is considered canon in this one.)

Soarin never really had any competition when it came to Rainbow Dash...not that he needed to, anyway. But when an obnoxious green pegasus flies in with the newest recruit, he decides he doesn't like the two of them together.
