Sunset Shimmer and Twilight find themselves in the company of old enemies.

They whisper and slowly, they're taking matters into their own hands.

As the sun sets and the moon rises, an innocent and young being shall rise as an extraordinary monster. She lurks in the night, hunting for her prey. She is a being that possesses strength, speed and the strongest of senses known to man.

However, during the daytime, she's the best friend to many.

The night before the real wedding of Princess Cadance and Shinning Armor, Twilight finds herself in trouble. Still feeling hurt and alone when her friends, brother, and mentor all abandoned her to comfort the fake Cadance, Twilight notices her coat has lost it's color, just like it had when Discord had made her lose faith in her friends. Fearing that something serious might be going on, Twilight visits the Canterlot library, where she finds a book by none other than Starswirl the Bearded, and about the journey he went on to create the Elements of Harmony. Feeling inspired by the book, Twilight takes off on a journey to follow in Starswirl's hoofsteps, hoping that it will help heal her wounded heart, and once again show her the magic of friendship.

On a patrol through the White Tail woods, Twilight comes across a dying changeling. Torn between giving up the drone to the guards or leaving it in the inhospitable wilds, Twilight reluctantly takes the drone in. As it awakens she realises that the drone was a blank slate, with no connection, no 'programming' guiding its functions. So Twilight sets out to teach this changeling about the world, one hoof step at a time.

Rated Teen for slightly mature themes involving ethical dilemmas.

Loyalty, Kindness, Generosity, Honestly, Laughter and Magic; it is these qualities which make the Knights of Canterlot so worthy of their titles. But when the sorceress Sunset Shimmer, personal student of Princess Celestia and rumored lover of Princess Twilight defects from the Order of Canterlot and steals her crown, Twilight Sparkle asks her friends to help find her.

But will the six of them be enough to defeat Sunset Shimmer? And will Twilight have the fortitude to do what needs to be done when they finally do find her?

For most ponies the day they get their cutie mark is the day everything changes. That was especially true for Twilight Sparkle, as the day she got her cutie mark was also the day Princess Celestia took her on as a student, she gained a new little brother and started on the road to her future.

It was also the day she became a dragon.

But in every stand of woods there is a path untrotted, one with a different story and new experiences.

This story is a sequel to My Faithful Student

After being trapped in the past by a botched spell. Twilight was almost free to go home before a tragedy struck. Now staying in the past with her two new daughters and a kingdom under her, Twilight Sparkle, the Eternal Queen, shares her time with her foals before her return to the present.

In the present, a pony finds a certain journal left behind from those Forty Long Years, a pony who wishes nothing but revenge upon the Eternal Queen. A pony who hopefully, after seeing all the trials and tribulations of the Queen, will learn that forgiveness is the answer to her troubles. Or at the very least, learn the name of the Queen to enact revenge upon her immortal being.
