When Ditzy Doo woke up, it seemed like it would be a typical morning, apart from the world coming apart at the seams. Then a massive magical shockwave swept through the universe, shoved her out of it, and sent her careening through alternate timelines.

Most of those timelines are populated by tiny horses.

It's going to be an interesting day.

After the world changed, Twilight Sparkle wasted no time in making a clean break from Crystal Prep High. After all, it wasn't like she was leaving anyone behind.

Or so she thought. No instance of Twilight can totally avoid forming interpersonal bonds, and Dean Cadence doesn't have a monopoly on human decency at Crystal Prep. A few students really do miss Twilight. One is going to do something about it.

Those who bring evidence before the world are dismissed as histrionic deceivers. There are those who have seen, however -- those who know -- and they will forever cry out their warning from the back seats of filthy, old train cars, even to those who dismiss them, who revile them, who ignore their warnings unto their own mortal peril.

"The sasquatch is real!" they will cry forevermore, even as nopony believes.
