We all know the story of how the Princess’ young student and five friends defeated Nightmare Moon and brought Princess Luna back to our lands. But what if the tale were false? What if the young Twilight Sparkle on the event of her entrance exam had not been rescued by Princess Celestia, but instead lost her mind among the power of her youthful surge and had to be sent away, far away before she could destroy all of Canterlot with her newfound power. Now the feral unicorn prowling the Everfree Forest only vaguely remembers her past, slipping away from constant terrifying attempts to capture her.

And she is beginning to remember what true power felt like.

Twilight then discovers that a unicorn whose coat was white and hair writhed in flames tried to destroy Equestria in the past. To her horror, she learns that she is destined to be the reincarnation... and there is nothing she can do about it

Once upon a time, in the magical land of Equestria, there were two regal sisters who ruled together, and created harmony for all the land.
Unfortunately, such a peace could not last forever. A feud arose between the two rulers and the kingdom was divided by more than just boundaries built in soil and on paper.

When Luna became jealous of her sister's glory in the eyes of ponies, she saw what it might lead to, coming to her sister for help. But, when scorned and pushed aside, Luna's jealousy became anger. In a fit of rage, she spirited herself and all of those under her rule, those that would follow, to her domain: The Moon.

A thousand years is a long time, though, to be holding a grudge. And now the means to mend an immortal's bond to her sibling rest in the hooves of one of Luna's subjects: Twilight Sparkle, who must descend from Luna's moon unto Solar Equestria to right a thousand-year-old wrong.

A terrible new day rises when a tragedy, foreseen only by Celestia but preventable by none, occurs right in the middle of Canterlot, turning Twilight Sparkle's world upside-down. A strange artifact arrives at Twilight's library and turns her into a dragon. From there, everypony she touches suffers a similar fate and the contagion begins to spread! Twilight and her friends struggle to avoid spreading it further in this comedic misadventure of dragons and the fiery spells they weave. Can Twilight find a cure?

Well, this is basically in response to the veritable chaos that happened on /mlp/ a while ago when the Twilicorn pictures broke.

Having a home on the Dark Equestria threads, this story is going to deal with the difficulties Twilight has to deal with when she is transformed into an alicorn. Are the upsides really worth the tribulations that lie ahead?
