She abandoned the book in her spiral into darkness but now, with a chance of redemption, she turns back to her old friend for help. Does writing in her diary help her recover her life? Will she be able to overcome her memories, feelings, and school bullies to make deep connections with her new friends? It's all in her diary, all you have to do is read it.

This story is an epistolary, written entirely from the perspective of Sunset Shimmer making diary entries. For those of you unfamiliar with this format it means you are getting both the story as she is writing it as well as the emotions and thoughts she has while reviewing the events she is writing about. Half the story is how and why she writes what she writes.

A special thank you to EQD Pre-reader 63.546. When I submitted this story to EQD he saw it as close enough to post that he took extra time to help me touch up the story. As it turns out, he helped me 3-4 years ago on the ponychan boards when I first drafted Excessive Worry. On the surface, Derpy Hooves is doing well. She has a comfortable home, a happy daughter, and a steady job.

Below the surface, things aren't adding up. The house needs fixing, Dinky needs sitters, and Derpy's hours are being cut back.

When the one pony who can really get under Derpy's skin pushes her toward a decision she can't make, everything threatens to come crashing to a halt.

Prince Shining Armor and Princess Cadance are happily married, but the royal duties they share in ruling the Crystal Empire can be a little distracting in regards to their personal relationship. As a gesture of goodwill to their beloved royals, the crystal ponies give the couple a free vacation from all work. Two tickets, one paradise resort, and unlimited love between two ponies destined to be together. There's nothing quite like living happily ever after.

What if pony princesses were actually highly social carnivores?

What if a National Geographic team began following them around to film a documentary?

What if nopony saw anything unusual about this?

A metaphor about growing up. Or possibly a metaphor about living in a surveillance society. Or maybe just a very, very weird idea that needed to become a story.

Nurse Redheart is a young nurse working at Ponyville Hospital. She's done a very good job of it, too, but her superior believes her bedside manner is lacking. Forced to take a week-long vacation, Redheart struggles with finding herself without anything to do and without what she believes is her purpose.

When a young mare ends up in the hospital with an injury, Redheart is called back to take care of her. When an old flame returns to her life, Redheart finds herself conflicted between the feelings she has for him and the memories of what happened before. While initially happy to get back to work, Redheart finds these two revealing something in her that wasn't there before, something that will make her re-figure her priorities in life.

Because there's not enough Redheart fiction. Ever. And I've been meaning to use her in a fic for a while.
Oi... I liked the other one better, but I changed back the title.

Rated Teen for sensuality, suggestive moments, somewhat heavy alcohol usage, and some language.
