Life doesn't always go smoothly, and relationships rarely work out as expected. Fleetfoot has recently become aware of that. So, when her partner turns her life into a constant competition, she seeks relief in a solitary gym session in order to deal with it.

It is only when she gets surprising company that she discovers how cathartic togetherness can be.

Winning entry of the "A two-faced charade" contest. Proofreaders/Editors were Chaospaladin, 0_0 and Doggyshakespeare. The cover art was commissioned from the talented MarieDRose.

Rated and tagged for implied intimacy/sex and all the bitter consequences of cheating, as well as some mild language here 'n there.

This story is part of the Shadowverse main timeline.

Theo had a rough childhood, always moving around the country caused him to be alone and unable to make friends who he would inevitably lose. A fresh start is the last thing he needs. Yet, alongside two idiots he barely knows, he is transported to another world, and transformed into what can only be described as an animated horse.
He seems reluctant to leave, despite otherworldly threats constantly trying to kill him and his threats. However, he soon learns that the world he came from and the one he is in were once connected, and that his past makes less sense than he first thought..

Lovely new cover art courtesy of Dilarus.

Octavia Melody is in a bit of a spot. Life on the Manehattan Space Station isn't easy for most ponies to begin with, but when your BitCard balance is zeroed out and you're living meal to meal? It starts to feel like things couldn't get much worse.

The problem is that that sort of thinking only invites more trouble.

When Octavia suddenly finds herself stuck in the middle of a plot that could destroy the whole of the Grand Equestrian Empire, the source of her next meal is going to be the least of her concerns. Now she must find the Elements of Harmony, unravel the secrets of the Empire, save the universe, and, just maybe, find a way to make some friends.

Quick thanks to my group at the Artist/Writer Collab panel at BABSCon. Without us bouncing ideas around, this story wouldn't be happening!

Also want to thank my stable of pre-readers/editors. So yeah, thanks to The P-Man, Alun Aleriksson, Jack of Most Trades, and Sir Alex. Y'all are wonderful.

Featured on Equestria Daily 12/10/2014! Couldn't have done it without all of my lovely pre-readers, and, of course, my lovely readers.

The Night Guard was once a highly regarded order, and joining the personal servants and defenders of Princess Luna herself was one of the most prestigious positions anypony in Equestria's armed forces could aspire to. Then the Princess of the Night had her little run-in with jealousy-induced insanity, and her subsequent banishment left the Night Guard in a bit of an awkward position.

Fortunately, the fact that the Night Guard was not really needed anymore never seemed to occur to anyone, and now, a thousand years later, the order is still just sort of... there. However, after centuries of neglect and a complete lack of supervision, the Guard barely resembles a military organization anymore.

Some unquestioning military bureaucrats apparently still take care of pay and hiring, and every now and then, new recruits arrive with purpose in their step and stars in their eyes, convinced that service with the Guard will allow them to achieve great things. But while those hopes unavoidably end in disappointment these days, recruits tend to acknowledge soon enough that the current state of the Guard does have its perks.

The only thing that could possibly ruin this cushy little job would be the return of Princess Luna. But it's been centuries since she was banished, and really, at this point, what are the odds of that ever happening?

A little just-for-fun side project I did a while ago over a pretty short period of time.
Be warned, within this tale you will find:
- references to excessive alcohol consumption
- juvenile and cringeworthy innuendo
- shenanigans
May also contain trace amounts of bat ponies.

Expertly proofread and edited by the hawk-eyed, diligent, and just all around [insert positive adjective of your choice] 0_0.

Telekinesis and pyrokinesis are both nice things to get out of a deal, no doubt about it. Due to some fine print finagling, though, we're now stuck here in Equestria, courtesy of 'the Merchant'. And by 'we' I mean Silver the Hedgehog and Blaze the Cat, or at least their lookalikes. No, I did not stutter. That sidewalk swindler of a 'wish granter' must think he's got a sense of humor, turning us both into characters right out of our favorite video games and then throwing us straight into the land of LITERAL sunshine and rainbows. We can't count on him to get us back, but since I can now bend spoons with my mind, that must mean the Emeralds should have the power to help us out... Right?

Well, there’s only one way to find out. If only the Royal Sisters weren't making this so much harder... Seriously, a thousand years in ice and they still can't forgive us for accidentally leveling their castle and afterwards causing a worldwide disaster? No biggie. That place was in dire need of renovation anyway; no plumbing, no fridge...

So, to put it short, I have Royal Guards after me (standard bit characters; useless), Mane 6 after me (tougher, like Agents from the Matrix out of a bag of skittles), Royal Sisters after me (more RAGEQUIT than Legend of Zelda’s water temple), and a sophisticated, irritable anti-pegasister loner turned Royal Cat with a fondness of slapping me in the face whenever I say something stupid (which means quite often).

Knowing my luck, next there'll be mind-boggling time-travel and epic boss fights with tons of QTE's along the way, all wrapped up in some big multiverse-evil-domination plot, with ground zero centered on this glorified gumball machine of a world that defies all logic. We've got our work cut out for us, especially since we seem to be the ones cast as the antagonists straight out of the ice. That didn't stop Sonic before, though, and it definitely didn't stop Shadow, and since I'm now the coolest (and only) hedgehog on the block, there's no way I'm letting it stop me!

Here we come, Equestria! You better have some brakes, because we sure don't!

Just for clarity, I accept crossovers. Also, here is Google Docs version.

A little exercise in English before exams and an attempt to break my writer's block. It's not my first story, but first written in English. Also, I will probably continue even after exams - Sonic fandom is in a serious need of good fanfiction. Readers of my polish fanfics won't be pleased... Anyway, here are my proofreaders: Setokaiva, 0_0 and roker12. You guys are great, you made this fanfic at least 50% cooler.

I chosed my favorite characters as heroes. Blaze will be a lot like an original version from Sonic Rush, except more aggressive. Silver is going to be silly and reckless (his powers are modeled after those from Sonic Generations, so yeah, he is much more powerful than in Sonic 2006). Picture made be I, me and myself, but only after entire day of looking for good poses in Google and comibining them in Inkscape - I'm terrible at graphics.

Myths and legends have always drawn us in with their mysterious allure. The high born elven ponies, the sturdy dwarven ponies, nimble-winged fairy folk, mighty troll kind, delicate fey creatures, the list can go on forever. Each appeal to us in their own way, especially if you research them for a living like Lore Seeker does. But what happens when your life-long search bares fruit? What happens when those legends come alive? Worse, what do you do when they pull you into the middle of a bloody conflict that has spanned millenia?!

Would you stay to delve deeper into their world, or would you run from truths too horrible to believe? Would you fight for strangers who want only for peace, or would you run to save your own kind? Would you live on only for yourself, or would you die for new friends?

Your answers matter not, for words are empty. Only actions can speak our true hearts, and it is only in our darkest moments that we discover who we really are. So who will you be? Observer, or savior? Warrior, or coward? Footnote, or legend? Only time knows for certain, but that time, is now.

Trolls and dragons stalk the plain
Seek for mischief they may wreak
Hush now child, they seek in vain
We are gentle, but not weak

When the night seems cold and frightening
And you know not what to do
They will be there, fast as lightning
So no harm can come to you

Do not dread the sun descending
Know that they are always near
And their vigil never ending
And they face the things we fear

For they are our good protectors
They are strong, and kind, and brave
While the Lance does still protect us
Little children can sleep safe

- Crystal Empire nursery rhyme, author unknown

After a thousand years of absence, the Crystal Empire has been freed from Sombra's curse and returned to the world. The crystal ponies can finally live free from fear and slavery, but their once mighty nation has dwindled to a mere shadow of its former glory. Still, their tribe was never known for a lack of tenacity, and with their chains broken at long last, the crystal ponies are willing to face any challenges the world might throw at them.

I these difficult times, the young crystal pony Ruby Chip has risen to knighthood, and proven herself to be worthy of joining the legendary Order of the Crystal Lance. It seems like she has achieved everything she ever dreamed of, but then she starts being plagued by dark and frightening visions from the Empire's troubled past.
To make matters worse, Ruby fears that the Order might come into conflict with the Empire's new ruler. As a former officer of Equestria's military, Prince Shining Armor is not very fond of the way the Empire's armies are run and organized, and sees them in dire need of modernization. It remains to be seen if the traditional warrior caste of the Empire still has a place in the military force he seeks to create.

Very soon, Ruby and her brothers and sisters in arms will have to prove that they are more than a misplaced remnant of a long gone era, and show that the knights of the Empire can still fulfill their sworn duty as champions and protectors.

However, whether or not Ruby herself will be ready to be the pony others need her to be, that is another question altogether.
