In a shocking turn of events, what should have been a calm week in Ponyville descends into mayhem when Twilight accidentally unearths the Old Ponyville Time Capsule. While Twilight tries to focus and rectify her mistake quietly, Trixie and Starlight investigate an old mystery from years prior. Meanwhile, the rest of the mane five undertake a secret project of their own.

Pinkie Pie, party planner extraordinaire. Any pony who spends more than five minutes in Ponyville will be introduced to Pinkie with an explosion of confetti and a party.

The Mane-Event, a popular stage show in Manehattan, has acquired a rare creature they intend to use as part of a new act. Their typical animal handlers prove inadequate for the new job so they invite Equestria's best to be the caretaker-- Fluttershy. Moving to a new city requires the inconvenience of finding a new place to stay, however. What fortune that Trixie, one of the primary acts of the Mane-Event, just so happens to have free space at her apartment.

And then the Element of Kindness lived with the Element of Egotism.

Twilight Sparkle. Princess of Friendship, manifold savior of the world, accomplished scholar, pillar of the community, devoted friend.

Sometimes it gets a bit much. Sometimes, you need a little break.
