The ninth story in The Journey of Graves.

Graves is gone, departed for parts unknown without so much as a backwards glance. A quick farewell and a cold goodbye is all the marshal left before severing every tie he ever had to Ponyville, including those with Rarity.

Why? He's a soldier and it was obvious he'd one day have to leave. But the way he left, so abruptly, even callously... it just doesn't seem right. Could it be that there's something more to his departure than meets the eye? Or are thoughts like that merely fancy and wishful thinking? To find the truth, Rarity and the girls start down a long, winding road that will hopefully bring the grey eyed soldier back. Hopefully.

Elegant Rarity and her overly-energetic sister. Thunderlane and his overly-energetic brother. When these four meet, Sweetie Belle and Rumble decide it would be a good idea to play games with their big siblings. Now Rarity and Thunderlane must try and convince these rambunctious ponies to come home before the storm hits. Will they be able to get them home before Rarity's mane is ruined? How long will Sweetie Belle and Rumble drag these two along?

However, the housewarming will just have to wait, as the marshal receives word that there's trouble brewing in the Everfree Forest. Simple enough really, except for one minor problem: Graves has already promised Rarity he'd take care of Sweetie Belle for the day. What will the marshal do when his troublesome job meets the walking disaster?

A stallion by the name of Shadow Weaver, who has led a life of crime for quite a while now, ends up in Ponyville, where a certain mare comes along and causes his life to take a major turn... Possibly for the better.
