Anonymous had been engaged to Lyra, but decided he wasn't ready and left town before the wedding to think. Days became weeks, weeks became months, and months became years. He decides it's finally time to return to the pony he'd left at the altar.
I started writing this on my phone when I had to evacuate from hurricane Sandy, and it's been mostly unfinished until recently. Reading my old works, I noticed I always get dialogue over with very quickly instead of fleshing much out. This time, I wanted to try and write better dialogue, with more "meat" to it. I don't know if I succeeded or not, but I'm pretty happy with the way this turned out.
I'm also aware that the pacing is pretty fast, but that's something else I'm trying to work on.
The mane six really love Anon, but he just doesn't seem to get it. Join them in their journey as they each try to win him over.
U-Um... Anon is... Well... Oh my...
He's a really great guy. I wouldn't mind having him as my lab assistant for life.
Nonny's the best! I love spending my time with him!
Anonymous has this sort of "flair" he brings about whenever he comes near. It's extremely enticing.
Yeah, I mean, Anon's like my best friend. Would be pretty cool if he were more though...
Anon's amazin'. So much that I actually kinda get erm... Well it feels like I got the creepy crawlies in mah stomach.
But why won't he notice me?
Anonymous leaves Ponyville to pursue a quiet office job in Manehattan. While he finds the possibility of new love in his future, he finds that his past from Ponyville isn't willing to give him up so easily. Some mares just don't know when to stop.
Who will Anon choose? His past life, Fluttershy? The mysterious Autumn? Or, perhaps the troubled Mulberry?
I'm a human, and I just woke up in this really freakin' weird place. Why the hell does everyone hate me so much?!
Equestria is in general a really kind, wholesome place. You've been around the block a few times, and seen your fair share of hardship. But honestly? Some of the slang that these ponies seem to be worrying about is just... out of line. Don't seven year old's say worse things on Xbox Live?
This Story Contains: Nothing to Worry About. Trust Me.
Don't you Trust Me?
Nurse Redheart gives a eulogy.
Do something about it.

You've had your eyes set on Applejack for a long time. Maybe your best friend Rainbow Dash can help you earn Applejack's heart. You wouldn't see why not. Besides, she's your best bro. Right?

This story is a sequel to Pirate Hats and Whatnot
Time flows on, the seasons change, and Anon continues to acclimate to his new life in a bizarre land of marshmallow horses. Thankfully, even in such a strange world, there are still some familiar truths he can depend on. The sun will rise in the east each day, the bare trees will soon be covered by brilliant green leaves, and the songbirds will return to the forest near his home at the first hint of spring...
Yes, even in a new world, there are certainties. And though he may not yet realize it, the fact that he lives in the same town as a particular pink pony means his latest plan to catch fish is most certainly going to be interrupted.
