This story is a sequel to The Changeling of the Guard

This is a collection of various stories, short and otherwise, to go along with The Changeling of the Guard.

They aren't absolutely necessary, but the intention is to provide some background or additional material. Things like Topaz's research notes on Changelings, stories involving the other characters, and various insane things Idol has done that don't quite fit into the main plot. They might be chipper, they might be sad, but they're all canon to the main fic... or to whoever from the story is relating them.

Chapter 1 is the Nurse, mentioned briefly in Moonlighting, who brought Idol the Nymph.

It is to those with an open heart and a weightless soul the moon lends its gossamer reigns.

It is to any that will listen the moon will sing its song.

And it is to the gentle ballad of those voices in harmony that the moon dances across the sky.

One is an upper-class if somewhat eccentric unicorn from Vanhoover. One is a country pegasus with neither manners nor patience. When both attend the same prestigious college in Canterlot, friendships are made, secrets revealed… and loyalties tested.

There are very few library oak trees remaining in Equestria, and likewise only one remaining elderly Oakleaf to care for and tend the vanishing species.  When the Ponyville library is destroyed by Tirek’s rampage, the last of the Oakleafs is called to attempt the impossible. He must try to bring life back to the dead with what little life he has left himself.

It is an impossible task.  However, this is Ponyville, where the impossible happens every day.

So I thought of this after remembering a very funny skit from "A Bit of Fry and Laurie." I thought it would be funny if I did the same skit, but with Nightmare Moon and a Royal Guard.

This is also sort of an apology for not finishing "Princess Luna Received a Love Letter." So I hope you all enjoy this one!

Like many fillies without a cutie mark, Trixie finds herself feeling aimless and unsure of herself. Naturally, she dreams of something big and hopes it has to do with magic. But the lessons at Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns are difficult and some of her fellow students are relentless in their bullying.

While pondering how exactly she is meant to discover her special talent, she meets a creature who seems to wield a great and powerful magic and has an answer to every question, especially the odd ones. And especially the ones Trixie never asked.

Sometimes it takes a literal thunderbolt to make you realize just how wrong things have been going in your life, especially when it comes to interpersonal relationships.

After a long night at a bar, and with an unexpected visitor awaiting her at home, Delta Vee is about to experience just that.

This story is entirely based on Shinodage's ask blog telling the story of Delta Vee and her family.
Needless to say, all credit for the characters and places used in this story (as well as the cover image) goes to Shino himself. This story is merely an attempt to delve deeper into the events and relationships hinted at in the blog's storyline.

One thousand years ago, the Princesses Celestia and Luna were blindsided by the return of the Masters of Equus. The cult of power-mad alicorns, thought to have been banished from Equestria forever, appeared in the middle of the Princesses' battle for supremacy, and caged them away. The rest of Equestria quickly fell to their might. Even the fearsome Discord was forced to his knees before them. All of Equestria was enslaved, and an era of misery began.

Now, one thousand years later, a lone unicorn mare has learned of a creature that might be able to overthrow the Masters. A creature immune to magic, overwhelming in size and strength, sealed away for centuries uncounted. A creature of ultimate evil: the Smooze.

Unfortunately for Starlight Glimmer, in trying to ensure the creature's obedience, she modified the summoning ritual a bit too far.

Because of her meddling, the soul of a recently-deceased human is pulled from Limbo, and given life, but not exactly a body. Now he has to help her save the world, or face obliteration.

Not much of a choice, is it?

Inspired by Pen Mightier and Bucking Nonsense, the legends who – to my knowledge – popularized the "human in villain's body becomes Equestria's savior" genre. May your inkwells never run dry.

It's been a year since the Earth/Equestria Accords were signed, and the cultural exchange is going smoothly. Twilight Sparkle and her friends, some of the first Equestrians to come to Earth, meet at their castle in Equestria to discuss what they've learned on the topic of language.
