Claire and Laura never really got along, perhaps like many sisters throughout the world. Claire is an exuberant extrovert, popular, beautiful, well liked among her peers with a bright future ahead. Laura is the complete opposite, a shut in who prefers fantasy over reality. No skills. A total basement dweller! To make things worse, there's nothing Claire hates more than her sister's obsession with fake magical ponies in a fake childish little world! It's time to grow up and move on! That is... until both sisters find themselves stuck in the bodies of two of the most powerful ponies in that childish little world with a few minor, differences. Yeah, this will be totally terrific!

After crashing on an unknown world, a hardened soldier fighting in a brutal war must find his brethren, as well as a way back to the front. The last thing this soldier expected on this endeavor, was a population of cheerfully innocent, endlessly kind, small… equines?

All the while an ancient and cataclysmic evil is about to enact her disastrous return. Can or will the soldier drop his objectives to do what he can in this world’s time of need?

Should he? If he does, who will he come, across? And could anyone even look him in the eye when they learn of what he is, who he is, and the things he has done?

There's a saying among the Royal Guard: "The higher you climb, the harder you fall."

Lieutenant Gilded Light is experiencing this lesson firsthoof as his newest reassignment landed him right back in the one place he spent years meticulously avoiding - Ponyville. Trading Canterlot's gleaming spires for quaint thatched roofs wasn't exactly in his five-year career plan. Much less becoming Ponyville's newest Guard Commander.

A promotion, they called it. He calls it cosmic irony.

After all, he didn't spend years adapting to Canterlot just to end up back where he started, dealing with a family that he had long since left behind and townsfolk who might recognize him as "Rarity's brother who ran off to the big city."

Between avoiding family reunions, maintaining Ponyville's security amid weekly magical disasters, and fending off a particularly nosy mint-green Unicorn, Gilded Light is finding that his extensive magical training prepared him for everything except coming home.

Sometimes he wonders if his second chance at life was really meant to be this… complicated.

Due to my ever changing ideas, this story will divided into 3 sections. 1. Being Luminous a young colt. 2. Grown into a teenager and 3. Where he is a full adult.

Anon wondered why his cutie mark never glowed signifying his mission for Annie was over. She no longer treated him like a punching bag, she has no means to run away and they are in love with each other. What else could Annie possibly need?

Anger management, Self Control and Friends would be a great start. Maybe Twilight's School of Friendship can help her out? Or will Annie run the school like she did the orphange?

Another thing Anon notices is Annie has become clingy. Very clingy. Like she's glued to his side clingy. And Celestia help anyone who tries to separate them.
