A slice of life story making light of a darker setting. Effectively a continuation of FanOfMostEverything's "A Crazed Gleam", though reading it is not strictly required.

Dark tag for the juxtaposition of telling a story about friendly changelings in a setting predicated on the end of pony civilization and occasional "dark" world building elements, yet aiming for a "happy end".

This story is a sequel to A Mad Glimmer

The plan had been perfect, taking everything from Twilight Sparkle and trapping her in a no-win situation. Then Twilight showed Starlight the alleged consequences of her actions.

But there's a bit more to the story. Starlight Glimmer has paid a heavy price, but there's one more debt to call in.

After all, Discord doesn't make idle threats.

Story contains spoilers for the Season 5 finale, potentially disturbing imagery, and nuts. Story still does not contain Nikita Khrushchev or shoes.

All Rarity wanted to do was mourn the loss of her friend. Twilight Sparkle's ghost has made this a rather difficult thing to accomplish. Good thing Rarity's in denial about the spirit following her around.

During Princess Celestia's break, Twilight Sparkle asks her a certain question that she's been curious about for a while, but thinks that Celestia is best suited to answer it.

"What's Ruling a Nation Like?"

The answer she receives, however, makes her regret the decision she made to do so.

Sunset Shimmer's life has taken turn for the odd lately. Well, not odd. Odd isn't nearly a strong enough word for the utter batshit insanity that has consumed her every waking moment.

Namely, the creation of Equestria's first ever super villain group known as The Coalition of United Terrible Evils. Or C.U.T.E. for short.
