The last few months have been a journey for Rainbow Dash. She took an abused filly off the streets, got hospitalized after trying to defend her, and ended up adopting Scootaloo with Twilight.

But while they aren't together at this time, will the trials and tribulations of raising a foal together make them closer?

TaVinyl with a twist this time. Takes place pre-Canterlot Wedding. Let's see how well I can make this shapeshifting O.C. of mine handle chauffering an audition with this performer of perdition in this one-shot.

Daring has heard about this ancient fruit in her childhood but was never ready or able to see this fruit for herself. Until now.

Daring is going on her most personal mission yet to find this magical fruit that she has wanted to see all of her life. Now there is only one question.

Will it be worth it?

I wrote this story for an Iron Author contest. It was my first time trying something like this, and I hope I did a good job.

"Hold on... What kind of spell again?"
"A Princess of the Day spell. It swaps my alicorn nature onto another pony, making them a Princess in my place for a day."

Twilight is a little fed up as the newly-minted Princess of Friendship Magic. So she uses a spell to give each of her friends a chance to see what it's like being the alicorn Princess of Ponyville in her place. And learns way more than she bargained for in the process.

Fifty years ago, the first thing most ponies thought when they heard the word "Ponyville" was "What?"

Ten years ago, it was "Monster attacks."

Right now, it's "Princess Twilight Sparkle," which is certainly a step in the right direction. Mayor Mare wants to keep up the momentum, but she needs help. And it just so happens that Twilight needs a favor to push this "School of Friendship" she's so eager to build past the zoning board...

And maybe, through a crazy tale of magic, monsters, and heroes, she can find some closure as well.

Lightning Dust will never be a Wonderbolt. When she left the Academy, she swore she'd never look back. When the Washouts disbanded, she swore she'd forget about them.

Yet after all these years, against all odds, she finds herself here. At a Wonderbolts show. Just on the wrong side of the glass.

Entry into a Sofa and Quills Speedwriting contest, where it placed first! Written in the span of half an hour (time limit was an hour but I had to go early) with the prompts 'candy' and 'bittersweet.'
