However, she now finds herself against a new foe, one foul and sinister, so evil and diabolical that even she is powerless to fight against it.

Banished by her superiors at Canterlot University to the dreary, ho-hum city of Prodigal Point, Daring Do is forced to find a way to cope with deal with her increasing boredom and insatiable curiosity. However, her attempts cause her to stumble upon a mysterious conspiracy, one being carried out by an enigmatic group of ponies with unknown motives. She's soon smack-dab in the middle of the action yet again, and while she's used to such things, she also winds up with a bigger problem that's completely new to her:
motherhood.

A lone vampire bat sneaks through the mirror portal and ends up in the human world. Instead of apples, it now craves something far richer. And unfortunately for Sunset Shimmer, she's its next snack.

Sunset can't remember any of her activities past sundown. The light hurts not just her eyes, but burns her skin. And she's thirsty.

So very thirsty.

It's up to the Rainbooms to save Sunset from herself before she drinks the whole city dry. Too bad Twilight Sparkle is her primary target.

With an age-old threat poised to devastate Equestria, the Princesses gather to use a spell left behind by the great Star Swirl the Bearded in order to ensure their victory.

Now all four have become an entirely new being, with her own thoughts and feelings. And in order for the Princesses to return, she will have to die.

True magic has returned to the surface.

Twilight and the Elements of Harmony had awoken to a world completely unlike their own, where the abilities they saw as natural were lauded as rare and powerful. The last few months saw them deal with bounty hunters, the depths of the sea, and the deadly politics of this new world. And lose.

Twilight, in a desperate bid to save her friends, had harnessed a power unlike any other and conquered her enemies in one fell swoop... at great cost. Now she is separated from her friends and tasked with a mission to bring back the Equestria she once knew, all while tainted by strange magic she barely understands.

At least she isn't alone.

This story takes place after the events of Empty Horizons and is technically a sequel spin-off. - Nothing in this story is canon to the EH universe, it is my take on Twilight and the Other following the events of EH's finale.

Surprisingly, the strange visitor is Shining Armor from an alternate world where the Canterlot Wedding was a complete disaster. In that world, the betrayal of her loved ones and the deaths of both Cadance and Queen Chrysalis drove Twilight mad and caused her to succumb to her darkest emotions and become Equestria’s newest and most dangerous enemy: Midnight Sparkle. Allied with King Sombra and the Crystal Empire, she has waged a vengeful and merciless war against all who do not support her. Do Twilight and her friends have what it takes to save a world where certain events happened differently from those in their world?

"Family." It's a word Discord hasn't had much use for or even thought about. Yet now it won't leave him alone.

The spirit comes to realize that he wants a family, to have children all his own to raise and care for. The only problem is, he doesn't have anyone he can start a family with and he's too embarrassed to ask.

So he decides on a risky decision, he'll use his friends and regress them into foals, caring for them for forty eight hours until the spell he casts on them returns them to normal.

But Discord has never dealt with foals before, and it isn't long before the regression of his friends starts to have unintended consequences? Will the spirit be able to keep the foals in line, or is he powerless to stop their antics?
