It's Twilight Sparkle's coronation day. She's ready to go, all dolled up by Rarity, and the three Princesses await her okay on the spell. She nods. Their horns light, and a deep warmth spreads through her. She closes her eyes.

"Nn- Twilight!"

Her eyes open. Spike, running towards her. His claw brushes the magical aura surrounding her. A roll of thunder echoes, and he is thrown against the wall. The magic surrounding her rises in turmoil, battering and burning, and it's all she can do to stay awake. It ends with a snap, dropping her to the plush ground in a heap. The Princesses are crying, Spike is unconscious, and Twilight... Twilight is no longer a petty Unicorn.

But she's not much of an Alicorn either.

Princess Celestia takes the week off for spring break and her annual visit with Twilight Sparkle. But it seems Twilight has more in mind than just visiting. After a bottle of wine or two leads to a bit more than student-teacher hugging, it's clear her student is in Canterlot for more than tea and study. Now Celestia is caught between a romantically-aggressive Twilight that has awaken strange new sensations in the normally stoic sun goddess and a resentful, overprotective sister that has laid an ultimatum: Put an end to her "interactions" with Twilight before she does.

Once upon a time, humans did exist. A long, long time ago, in fact. And they left something behind.

In the present time, Twilight Sparkle gets herself horribly lost and discovers something that should have vanished forever. But would that have been better? Or worse?

Time will have to tell.

Shadow sprites. They're known to exist in Equestria, it has been confirmed. However, they despise outsiders with such a passion that not much is known about them beyond that. Nopony knows how they work, why they're such social recluses, as well as what their purpose is.

Twilight Sparkle had made ground-breaking discoveries about these creatures, her notes were found in her journal on the floor of the lab beneath the Golden Oaks library.

I am Twilight Sparkle. Newly crowned Princess of Equestria. Element of Magic. Student of the magic of friendship under the tutelage of Her Royal Highness Princess Celestia.

Female. Lavender in the coat, indigo in the mane, with purple and pink stripes. Razor straight mane cut, with a little bit of a flip... shimmering ethereal mane and tail possibly pending. Large wings, lavender, barely used.

Beloved daughter of a scientist and a stargazer. Sister to the Captain of the Royal Guard. Sister-in-law to an Empress.

Best friend to five ponies plus one dragon in Ponyville.

Or am I?

After the changelings' failed invasion of Canterlot, Twilight tries to soothe some of Ponyville's rampant paranoia by casting a spell to prove there are no imposters hiding in the town. But her spell leaves her in an alien body, facing a mob of angry ponies who just don't believe her when she says she is Twilight Sparkle.

Or, at least, she was Twilight Sparkle, anyway...
