An escaped murderer stumbles into Twilight's library at night in order to stay in a lit area. She has to maintain close proximity to light in order to maintain control of the voices within her head that force her to commit atrocities. But when she's in the dark... there's no controlling them. For the first time in her life, she has friends, and struggles to keep her past hidden from them as well as maintaining distance from darkness.

Queen Chrysalis is happy. She can't stop feeling happy. She is strapped to a table, being experimented on, and she cannot stop being happy. How will she pass the time?

It's common knowledge that Discord conquered Ponyville and cast his unique brand of magic over the residents. After his defeat, Twilight and Celestia set up counseling services for the ponies who remembered what it was like to be under his control. For Cheerilee, it may not be enough.

It had been nearly a year since you won that labor lottery. This job had quickly turned into the best thing that has ever happened to you and your family. From the Grestin checkpoint, you had seen it all; terrorist attacks, long-seperated lovers getting back together, people trying to smuggle drugs into the country...
None of that compares to the day a portal opens to an alternate dimension just outside the walls.
Which is bad, because inevitably that means more papers for you to check and double check.

Following the events of Skyfall, Shining Armor has moved to reform the Royal Guard into the intimidating fighting force it was always meant to be. Skyfall Team is on hiatus, a long-earned respite. For the first time since the Griffon War, Equestria is recovering and growing substantially, no longer living in the shadow of danger.

But when an allied unit goes rogue and new threats loom from the shadows, Equestria's harmony is thrown into international turmoil that could bring about a world war between old enemies and allies. It is left to Skyfall Team to cover up the incident, and eliminate the defectors, before chaos can erupt into full scale conflict that could spell armageddon. Facing off against their comrades, Skyfall will learn that sometimes the toughest fights we face are against our own brothers.

Author's Note: Okay, this is going to take a while... I have a HUGE story planned for this thing and it's going to take a while to write it all. But I feel like if I write like 3000+ words a week, I can make some headway on it. Now, about the story. It's not exactly a crossover; it's more of an 'inspired by'. One day, I started wondering how a Dexter-esque pony would play out and this spawned. I wanted to submit it to Equestria Daily...
