Spike Sparkle was just your average teenage kid. He went to school, hung out with his best friends Thorax and Ember, and kept up on his art hobby. Just because he wound up in Crystal Prep Academy's 'gifted and talented program' which included a full scholarship to cover all tuition expenses didn't mean he was anymore special than anyone else.
But after getting bitten by a rather strange spider, the entire trajectory of his life abruptly changes forever and the average Spike becomes nothing short of amazing. But is he up to the new responsibilities he now bears on his shoulders? Only time will tell.
For now? He's got a criminal kingpin to take down with the help of some new friends who have come from some pretty strange places.

Yes, you're basing it off of a popular movie, but you do a good job of it. Brief descriptions with enough detail without being too clunky, and great character interactions.
You also have very clean grammar and punctuation, the sentences and paragraphs flow very well.

Spike and his two friends’ surprise is a new hangout hideout and to celebrate Ember’s find, the gang help Spike by making a mural honoring his pet bird. And while it was a night of fun, it seems that it was also a night of life changing events that raises questions like, will Ember profess her love to Spike despite swooning at Rachel the New Girl? What did Ember and Throax mean by what did they know about the New Girl Rachel? How did Ember find the abandoned hideout?
But for now, It would seem that Spike just got bitten by a spider?....How will this play out? Well I guess we’ll have to wait and see….
