ah, a very interesting way to tell this tale! i'm guessing, from context, this is supposed to be the future of the Crystal War timeline, given Maud's position in it. loved this poetic bit in particular:
and then a transition to a very cute scene in a timeline that is clearly canon somewhere! definitely can imagine the Maud in this part:
all in all, a very neat fic! really cool idea to make the OT3 arise out of a heroic epic tale, and the kind of take on a shipping story i'd hoped to see more of in the contest
