This is great, seeing Ember's introspection really makes me giddy when she fawns over James In her mind.
These chapters that give a look into the perspectives of other characters are quite nice, I'm a fan.
I'm rooting for James and Ember here, a love that blooms on the battlefield is a fiery one indeed. I'm interested to see what kind of role she'll play in the story after the War of Preservation is concluded.
Over Three Million words Proves how far this fimfic has gone, and I don't know why there isn't a fan made album or a book for this community, the character development and each sticking true to their role in this amazing story and I always want to go back and read the very first chapter that started this Articles Journey.πππ

I donβt think itβs so much indifference as it isβ¦the blow having been softened by the passing of time.
I recall years ago in the GameCube release of Custom Robo a statement being made by a character in the post-endgame story where they stated that the public has a tendency to underreact to the revelation of earth-shaking discoveries from events a long time ago. In retrospect, I think thereβs a lot of truth in that. Memories tend to become less vivid over time and that applies here too.
As for the rest, I guess only the endgame of the story will answer them.
