odds are the law is a really old one that was there just incase when pony thought humans where real and would most likely be treated like some of the laws we have that are still in the books but are no longer enforced. that said I was hoping the hunting knife was for him to use it on that little tart and then make some cupcakes or a shepherds pie out of her.

Ok wtf! I wasnt able to enjoy this chapter AT ALL once DT came to Sweet Apple Acres and said that BS. And YES I'm calling BS of the highest order on you! If James is THE ONLY human in Equestria and there haven't been humans before which would mean the only way anypony could've learned of humans before is from myth. How I ask you HOW in the HELL does a law against ponies and some mythological (at best) species be on the books. And why the f*ing hell would it be punishable by death?
The f*ed up thing is.....I was enjoying this story. However, there's absolutely no way I can continue. I mean the suspension of disbelief is one thing.....but the ABSOLUTE ABSURDITY of this one thing......it just makes it impossible to even try to finish.

To be fair to the story I will TRY to finish a few more chapters BUT if you haven't explained how this farce could've happened then I'm sorry but I'll have to stop reading this.

Just like ponies from Earth and ponies from Equestria are not in any way the same species, Humans from Earth are in no way related to humans from Equestria, in other words, although the name is the same the meaning is not.
